WoundSeal MD Powder with Super Stoppers WoundSeal MD is a non-prescription topical powder that quickly forms a seal that stops bleeding and provides a microbial barrier to protect the site. WoundSeal MD can significantly reduce hold times following dialysis treatment. The powder does not depend on the body’s natural clotting mechanism to form a seal, so it is effective for patients on anticoagulant therapy or those prone to bleeding.

Prepare Super Stoppers, WoundSeal Powder and 4-8 tape strips.

Create a wide opening in Super Stopper with a gloved finger to fill with powder.

Fill Super Stopper with ½ of a stick pack of powder.

Apply powder-filled Super Stopper to first site.

Secure site with tape strips. Pull needle and hold continuous pressure for 5 minutes.*

Prepare powder/Super Stopper for second site. Have patient continue to apply pressure as necessary to first site while securing Super Stopper to site with tape.

Pull needle from second site. Apply pressure to second site for 5 minutes.*

WoundSeal MD can significantly reduce hold times following dialysis treatment. The powder does not depend on the body’s natural clotting mechanism to form a seal, so it is effective for patients on anticoagulant therapy or those prone to bleeding.

Remove dressing from first site and pour ½ stick pack of WoundSeal onto site to create a small pile of powder.

Secure site with dressing and tape strips.

Pull needle and hold continuous pressure for 5 minutes.* Apply additional tape as necessary.

Remove dressing from second site.

Cover with dressing.

Apply additional tape strips as necessary.

Pull needle from second site, then apply direct pressure for 5 minutes.*
