1 EXT. TRAIN STATION - MORNING 1

FRANKIE SUITS is standing on a train platform, smok ing a cigarette. The A train leaves the station, mostly e mpty. Frankie looks back to see JOEY CAPONE coming back f rom the bathroom, buttoning up his suit.

JOEY Hey, seen him yet?

FRANKIE Nah, it’s just nobodies late for work.

JOEY Damn. How long you think we have to wait?

FRANKIE I dunno. Tony said it might take a while. I gotta go to the john. Keep a look out.

The B train comes in, screeching and groaning. Joey perks up, looking for his contact. VINNY GOLD comes out o f a car, wearing an impeccable white suit and fedora. Joey r uns over to him.

JOEY Vinny! Thought we missed ya.

VINNY Nah. I’m right on schedule. Where’s the ape?

JOEY Who, Frankie? He’s taking a leak.

VINNY Is that right? (notices Frankie coming up) Well, well, well. Look at you all dressed up.

FRANKIE Mister Gold. It’s been a while, eh? (goes to shake Vinny’s hand)

VINNY Not long enough. (declines the handshake)

JOEY Boy, you guys ain’t changed a bit.

VINNY Old habits die hard.

FRANKIE Not hard enough.

JOEY All right, you two. Let’s get down to business.

VINNY Tony said you guys had a package for me.

FRANKIE He said that, huh.

VINNY That’s right. Why? You don’t have it?

JOEY We thought you had it.

VINNY I don’t have it. What makes you think I have it?

FRANKIE Enough. What’s in the suitcase, Gold?

JOEY What suitcase?

FRANKIE The one in the washroom. The one nobody’s touching. All white, got the initials VG on it.

VINNY There ain’t no suitcase in the washroom.

FRANKIE Oh, you think so, huh? You sure about that?
