We did a complete diagnosis of all areas of the company and created the strategic and
operational plans along with the management. Did reengineering process for each
functional area (farms, slaughterhouse, food factory and central office) achieving
major operational and financial efficiency with a cost reduction of over US$120,000
yearly and with an increment in net income of at least 40% and accounts receivable
were reduced by more than 50%. Acquired the SENASAG certification (food safety
certification). It was installed an integrated information system to manage all
operations in real time for accounting, food factory, farms production, slaughterhouse,
dispatch, commercial area).
2014-2015 Tarija, Bolivia
TradeLink Bolivia Srl.
Created the strategic analysis and provided support at the startup of the
business especially with the marketing strategy. It was designed a
workshop to help people export and it was organized at the ExpoSur fair
in Tarija city and the Woman Entrepreneurship Encounter in La Paz city.
As a result the company obtained enough clients to make a selection of
the best ones to start its export services. The management received
training on how to conduct the workshop on their own.

It was created a business plan, a strategic plan and we took care of implementing
it at the initial stages. We assisted in the legal due diligences before the
government and created and implemented the marketing strategy. We gave
support in all commercial operations (establishing the office with the service
area, conducting surveys, installing and implementing the accounting system,
making strategic alliances, etc.)

We assisted in the reopening of the business after a terrorist attack. Gave
support in all administrative issues and the redesign of the strategic
business model and reorganization of the central office with its principal
processes. Established and developed an information system to manage

It was created a strategic plan analyzing the fitness service evolution in
Bucharest. It was designed the service processes and gave support in the
commercial plan as well as for the change of location and remodeling of the

We presented and executed a working plan to reorganize the business. We
redesigned all the processes and provided technical and personal
development training to the staff. Intercultural learning workshops were
redesigned and delivered to beneficiaries from school, university and
community service programs. We trained volunteers to provide this
workshops. It was established strategic alliances and agreements with the
government and other enterprises to support operational and financial

We stablished an NGO in India with active presence in 8 major cities in
coordination with the US Embassy. We started with a general diagnosis and
creation of the strategic and operational plans. Established a legal entity
with a central office in New Delhi well equipped. Hired and trained staff
members, selected volunteers and board members providing training on
Policy Governance. We did all due diligences before the government and
manage to obtain the tax exemption until 2011. Assisted the board with new
politics for the organization. Manage to acquire ISO 9001 certification for
the entire organization. Did fundraising and managed to obtain funding
from the Japanese and US Governments as well as private companies and
individuals achieving financial sustainability by the second year of
operations. Organized for the first time a Leadership training workshop for
Muslim students for the region (Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan,
Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, India).

Stablished a transitory board of directors and redefined the strategic plan
according to international standards from AFS International. Implemented
it with great success. We did a legal restructuring and obtained a new
constitution, taking care of all legal due diligences before the government.
We did process reengineering for all areas and reorganized all programs
(school, university and community service), managed to obtain the
international quality certification ISO 9001 sponsored by the Interamerican
Bank Development (IBD). Provided many training workshops in diverse
areas for board members, volunteers and staff members. We redesigned
the intercultural education workshops provided to beneficiaries and
trained volunteers to deliver them with a set of quality standards. We made
government and private agreements to support all operational activities.

To establish new organizations, previously we organized
several meetings with our clients to define the most important
issues regarding the business plan; once the terms of
reference are well defined, we take care of the legal issues for
the entity and start creating all business processes. We set up
and equip the office, hire and train the staff, obtain the
required permits and we do everything else needed we for a
good performance of the organization.

business plan and developed the strategic plan along with the marketing plan for
the first year of operations. Recruited staff and trained them. Installed and
configured the accounting system. It was achieved the price from Nueva Economia
magazine as an innovative business in 2004.

We assisted in the creation of the legal documentation for the constitution of an
NGO and took care of all due diligences before the local government. We created
the strategic plan as well as its operational plans in connection with the Ministry
of Production of the Government of the Province of Cordoba. We also recruited
people to be part of the board of trustees, created and delivered workshops in
management, cost accounting, fund management, prosperity and development
programs. We assisted in coordinating agreements with the government and
established and equipped a central office with support from the government of
Province of Cordoba.

We took care of all due diligences to create a type "S" corporation as well as all
legal permits. Created the strategic and action plans for three years term and
assistance in the legal and tax areas during the first year of operations. We
provided general management support especially accounting and taxes. Also,
provided coordinated supported with obtaining the investor's visa for the
company's owner.

To start it was developed an organizational assessment of the company in
Newark Airport station (NWK). There after it was created and established a
staff program turnover and a quality program. As a result, it was obtained a
50% reduction of aircraft waiting time in gates (30 minutes). It was created
working groups with great operational success achieving better service
perceived by customers. Personnel were trained in technical issues of
quality systems and teamwork.

Coco Investment Corp.
The organizational structure was redefined with service processes for 3
hotels in Miami Beach and was established with a new customer service
system. Also, it was hired and trained staff for the three hotels and provided
management support during the implementation phase for 6 months and
then continued to support improvements in processes and information
systems for operational and commercial control over the next 6 months.

Coming from a business family (air/land transport and
hospitality industries), it was a very rewarding experience to
be setting up different businesses in USA, mainly in the
service industry. Since then, David has been setting up new
business and turning around organizations in crisis, gaining
further experience in organizational development from a top
management perspective as Executive Director of the
client´s organizations in USA, Argentina, Bolivia and India.
Over the years, and especially in the time David lived in
India, he gained a deeper understanding of how
organizations behave and how to promote a positive
organizational change in a relatively short period of time and
providing opportunities for people to develop a more
prosperous life.
David completed a bachelor degree in agricultural studies focused on management in Honduras
(Central America) at EAP Zamorano (www.zamorano.edu); then, after gaining little experience
in a US based consultancy firm, moved to Costa Rica and completed a full time two years MBA as
well as a Master in Resources Administration in INCAE Business School (www.incae.edu).
