PASTOR’S REPORT - Rev. Howard D. Courtney

The contents of this Annual Report reveal the wonderful way that God hasallowed us as a church to impact the lives of those around us.

It is very clear that the work of God is meant to be accomplished by a teameffort, with each of us carrying part of the load, and all of us being blessed bythe outcomes.

Whether your role is small or big in the eyes of men, God sees eachcontribution, be it time, talent, energy, or finances. None of us are big enoughfor the job, and none is too small that they can not share in helping.

We have a great leadership team that includes, Pastor Mark Quinlan, PastorLisa Goldsworthy, Mrs. Marion Boone, and of course, my wonderful wife andpartner in ministry, Beulah Courtney.

And along side of these are people like Annette Langeveld, Amy James, Marc& Tiffanie Desroche, who carry another significant share of the ministry in avariety of areas.

We are positioned for a great future. More workers will be required.More finances will be needed to roll out our preferred future of influence in thiscommunity, sharing the Gospel of Jesus, and “making Jesus Famous” in thistown!

People are hurting. Families are divided. Kids are lacking support andleadership. People don’t know that Jesus can help them. Our job is huge. Ourresources are lacking, but our God is the miracle worker. We believe Him, andwe will be victorious in advancing the Kingdom of God together!

We have a great church. We want to continue to build it that way. We treasurethe sense of God’s presence amongst us. We have a lost world around usto reach. We have been called for such a time as this. Let our hearts andhands be joined together with singleness of heart to please our God andaccomplish His purposes together!

What follows is not just a report... it is a GOOD NEWS REPORT filled with theevidence of God at work right under our own two feet!

Thanks for being part!

There were approximately 26 seniors who boarded a HighwayCoach to make the annual trip to Ladore Lodge in the town ofWaymart PA. We started our trip with devotions and a nap. We made a pit stop in Grimbsy to have a much needed coffeeand washroom break. After lunch we enjoyed readings, quizzes, singing and a movie. There were no bus problemsand the border crossing was uneventful. There were new staff and programming and it appeared to bemuch better. The pool area is totally enclosed with areas forlounging, talking with friends and reading. The deck area hasbeen moved with new patio furniture and a double sidedfireplace. There were new shuffleboard courts with nightlights, new bocci court, horse shoe pit and mini golf coursewith handicapped accessibility. If you are interested pleasecheck this out for yourself. In the 25 years we have beengoing to Ladore, I think this has been the best trip so far. Thank you Pastor Courtney for allowing us to park ourvehicles in the church parking lot and for being so supportiveof this ministry. The next trip to Ladore will be August 10th – 17th, 2015. BENEVOLENCE 2014 REPORTSubmitted by Beulah Courtney

Clothing Depot

This is our fifth year serving the community with “free shopping” nights. Thestore was open for nine months of the year – closed in February due to snowstorm, closed in July and closed in December. During these nine months wedistributed approximately 1150 large bags of clothing. Although this ministryrequires a lot of volunteer hours, when we hear the feedback from therecipients, it is well worth it! They are so appreciative of the opportunity toprovide clothing for their families at no cost and continually express theirappreciation. Again this year I am so grateful for the help of those who havecome alongside and shared the load whenever required. I am especiallythankful to Jacki Shepherd and to Bryan, Jennifer & Abbey Hay for theirconstant dedication to this ministry. They are always available to assist meon the chaotic shopping nights!

The Innisfil Food Bank

We are continually overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from ourcommunity for this outreach. On an ongoing basis we receive drop-offs offood items from schools, businesses and individuals. During Thanksgivingand Christmas we receive huge amounts of food, allowing us to draw fromthese resources throughout the entire year. This year 415 food boxes and40+ Christmas Hampers were distributed, (providing food for approximately1820 individuals). In addition we provided a full Christmas meal during ourAnnual Community Dinner on Christmas Eve. We are so thankful to those inthe Innisfil community who partner with us; without this amazing support, this ministry would not be possible. As well, we are especially grateful for theteams of volunteers who “step up to the plate” to help sort and shelve thebins of food whenever the need arises.

It is a privilege serving in these two areas and sharing the love of Jesus!

Worship Pastor’s 2014 ReportSubmitted by Pastor Lisa Goldsworthy

As I look back over the past year, so much change has transpired in my own life as well as thelife of ICC. Last December found you saying goodbye to a dear friend, pastor, mentor and hiswonderful family. This past February, you welcomed me, as well as my family to ICC. I wantto thank each and every one of you who reached out to us with open arms, embracing andmaking the transition a very fond one for each of us. I thank God for His leading to ICC and Imust say that I am already in love with the family that makes this church so unique andspecial. God has lots in store for us and I look forward to what lies ahead for us in the comingyear.

Since arriving at ICC, we’ve had a great year in the worship department. How do you measuresuccess? That’s always a great question and a hard one to answer. Growth isn’t alwaysreflected in numbers. Although our team has grown in numbers, it’s more important that weare growing stronger as a team, reflected in our ability to grow not only spiritually butmusically as well. It has been a transition for the team as they adjust to a new leader, newsongs, new styles, etc. We are striving each week to come together as a team musically toallow our corporate worship time as a church to be a time to focus on Jesus, through ourworship and through His word.

Back in September, we began strategizing and rehearsing for our upcoming Dessert Theatrewhich took place this past weekend in December. The cast (52 in total) did a fantastic jobwith many different acts, solos, trios, kids choir, ensemble, media, skits, drama, etc. It was agreat night to be remembered and we had a fabulous turnout. Friday night dessert theatrewas completely sold out, with great numbers for Saturday night as well. The goal was to tellthe Christmas story with elements of humour, tradition, and tenderness, all wrapped up inone package. Christmas is such a beautiful time of year, and our focus was to bring hope andjoy to each person who attended. A special thank you goes out to all who participated, andfor catching my vision of “excellence” for the evening. Each performer as well as the entiretech team did a fantastic job. Although at times it was stressful, we had a lot of fun and greatrelationships were formed as a result. I look forward to next year!!

Volunteers are what make any ministry exist. I am so very grateful to say that I can’t imaginethis ministry without the numbers of volunteers who give of their time each week to beinvolved in the worship ministry. God has provided many people who have come alongsideme and I am eternally thankful to all of you, especially those I can call my friends, for all ofyour love and support. To my own family…..well…..words are very inadequate to describewhat you mean to me. You truly are a gift from God and I love you more than you canimagine.

My prayer for you for this coming year is that you ask yourself how to make it more aboutrelationships. Relationships with each other, and primarily our relationship with the Lord. HisWord promises that “He who began a good work in you will complete it”. Continue to serveGod every day with gratefulness and excellence. I also pray that God will touch each of yourhearts as you continue to grow in your worship to Him. He is worthy of our praise anddeserving of our passion. I pray this year that you will be acutely aware of His presence inyour lives and that as you gather corporately on Sundays, your hearts will be expressive asyou offer worship to Him. One day, we will all stand before Him and I know for myself, I hopeto hear those words “Well done, thou good and faithful servant”.Blessings and love, Pastor Lisa

2014 Ministry to Men Report

Engaging men can be a difficult task at the best of times. Men,in general, have very little time to spare and refuse to use whattime they have doing something that does not interest them. As always, our monthly Wing Nights at Wild Wing continuedover the past year, and the All-You-Can-Eat Jays game wasenjoyed by several men..

The Saturday night hockey continued to be organized by thechurch for the first half of the season. And, the baseball teamcontinued to thrive due to their competitive nature.

Numerous men attended the REAL DADS Christian Men'sConference in Barrie in March. The fall of 2014 saw the return of small groups, which involvednumerous men from our church. We are thankful to have had Brad Young, President of “RealDads” lead our Men’s Ministries over the last several years.

Brad has resigned and a new Men’s Ministry Leader has beenappointed. Fred Weening and Alex Ihama will be leading usforward from here in men’s ministry.

The Current Financial Balance in the account is $172.28.

VOLUNTEERISM IS ESSENTIAL!

I say it every year!! In 2014, it is still the same! Thank YOUto the many, many, MANY who so freely gave of their time, energyand skill to make the church productive and effective over the pastyear. The success of the many church programs and ministries isdependent on those who are involved as volunteer leaders in thoseareas.

Programs and ministries where people have a heart andpassion to serve usually flourish!

The current economic crisis around the world touches all of us.More than ever, volunteers are needed to pick up on areas wheresalaried people once served. The church is no different. Financesoften limit the work, but volunteers can make the difference.

There are several key leadership positions in the church thatare appointed annually. Each position is very important. Manypositions involve coordinating, overseeing, and directing a largergroup of volunteers.

There are numerous opportunities for service for those whochoose to faithfully support the goals and objectives of the church.

Others are involved in support roles where many are verycomfortable serving under the leadership and direction of someonewho oversees their ministry spot. Each is a valuable member ofthe team. There are those who fill the sanctuary pews with offeringenvelopes, those who serve as greeters, hosts, and ushers, thosewho do general repairs and clean up, those who assist by being partof our medical response team, our in-house fire safety inspector, and so on....

God is delighted with those who have a servant’s heart, anda servant’s attitude.

A special thanks goes to all who have served over the pastyear...

Someone once said “It is amazing what can beaccomplished if you don’t care who gets the credit!”

Yes, WE ALWAYS NEED VOLUNTEERS!The question is, “Will YOU be one?”.

PRAYER REPORT

One of the things God frequently speaks about in the Bible is prayer.

In I Thessalonians 5:17 we read:"Pray without ceasing"

I Peter 4:7 says:"be serious and watchful in yourprayers"

And Romans 12:12 speaks of:"continuing steadfastly in prayer"

Colossians 4:2 repeats this when it says: "Continue earnestly inprayer, being vigilant in it withthanksgiving"

We often refer to the words of thelittle poem:

“Only One Life, ‘twill Soon Be Past, Only What’s Done For Christ Will Last”

But in reality, it’s not just what is done FOR Christ, but rather WITH Christ.

All of the programs, activities and events of Innisfil Community Church areupheld by the prayers offered by all of us before, during and after they happen. We recognize the fact that “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vainthat build it.”

Every Friday morning at 9:30 a.m., staff and whoever else is available, rallytogether for a time of prayer and seeking God for the needs of the congregationand for the covering of God’s Spirit in all that we do. This is the one time during the week that is set aside, not for teaching, not forBible study, but to talk with our God and voice our needs and desires.

Other prayer times are mingled as components of other services and events. There are times of prayer before services, during services and after services. What we have discovered is that “with God, all things are possible”. And.... without Him, all our efforts are in vain!

Fuel Youth Ministries 2014 ReportSubmitted by Pastor Mark Quinlan

First, I would like to say how much I appreciate my leadership team! Over the last few years wehave created a culture of leadership development, and I truly believe I have the best LeadershipTeam you could ask for. They are all passionate about seeing this next generation step into theircallings. To all my leaders (you know who you are) I LOVE YOU from the bottom of my heart -please remember, that your investment in these students’ lives make a huge impact in theirfuture! This past year we have really focused on the word: longevity, why this word? We have decidedas a leadership team that everything we do: services, discipleship, retreats, etc… the main goalis longevity. Our hope and prayer is that this generation will have the Biblical foundation, theexperience of the Holy Spirit and the discipline to be serving Jesus 40 to 50 years from now; notjust attend church but be passionate, be involved and be invested in the work of the Lord. Over the course of the year we have had many fun events: Ice fishing, camping trips, gamesnights, a Christmas party and other special events. There have been so many, it’s hard tomention them all! Below are some of the highlights from this year.In March we had our annual church, family supported, fundraiser for Overflow; the event wasa huge success! This year we had the most students ever attending the event which meant weneeded more fundraised dollars. We fed around 100 people and we hit our fundraiser goal of$3,000. This allowed us to get the price of the event to a manageable amount for the students. Please know that every one of you who donated made a significant difference for each studentand we appreciate your support! In May we took our students to the Overflow event; I wish every one of you could have beenthere to see everything God did that weekend. If you ever want a chance to be a part of a verypowerful weekend in the presence of God and see the passion in this next generation, pleasesee me, we would love to have you with us. I want to highlight some specific moments: over8 people dedicated or re-dedicated their lives to Christ; hearts were changed; relationships werebuilt; passion for worship was amazing (if you could have seen these students worship youwould be amazed).... All I can say is GOD IS SO GOOD!

This summer was great; I always try to pin point certain moments in the summer. This year onWednesday Mornings we did servant projects; the aim was to help do some work around thechurch, and community. It’s awesome to see our students willing to serve and be God’s handsand feet. In November we went to our annul retreat called ‘the Big Picture’; this was the 7th year we haverun this retreat. I find weekends away leaning into God, are so important for the life blood ofthis generation. We went to Camp ‘Mini Yo We’ and it was the best year so far. This year Inoticed an overwhelming passion for God! We had a pre-service prayer on Saturday that blewus away as leaders; the cry of these students was astounding! We can confidently say that Godtransformed our students’ lives in the 4 sessions we attended. The Speaker, Calvin Forbs, challenged our students on what it is to live for God NOW and to start being what God has calledthem to be.This has been an amazing year, I’m still blown away that it’s been 6 1/2 years; I have seen Goddo amazing things over the years I’ve been here, but I have to say this year has truly beenamazing. God is always faithful and I’m so grateful for what He is doing in the lives of our youth.

Kids Church

This year the Senior and Junior Church programs mergedtogether with Amy James overseeing all of the Kids ChurchProgramming. The Kids Church program sees an average of53 kids on average each week. The program is using acurriculum called “The Gospel Project” - a 3 year chronologicalstudy from Genesis through Revelation, they just completed thefirst of the three years. The Kids Church Program has over 40volunteers that are involved on a monthly rotation, but more areneeded to alleviate the load from some of those currently takingon more volunteer shifts than desired.

Our electronic self-check-in system seems to be serving us wellat this time.

Nursery

The Nursery has seen a decline in numbers this year. January2014 was hosting an average of 8-10 children and December2014 hosting an average of 2-3 children. The Nursery iscoordinated by Amy James with Nicole Campbell as TeamLeader. The Nursery has approx. 10 volunteers involved on amonthly rotation.

Thanks,

Amy James

Gate - Junior High Ministries 2014 ReportSubmitted by Pastor Mark Quinlan & Josh Osborne

Pastor Mark Quinlan This has been a great year, I want to start by saying I’m so proud and gratefulfor our amazing leaders. They truly have stepped up and their passion for thestudents and love to see them transformed by the power of God is evident. I’malso so proud of Josh Osborne for taking the leadership of this group, he hasproven to be a true man of God and has a love to do the work of ministry, belowis his report.

Josh OsborneThis year Gate has been an exciting one, seeing many new faces includingleaders and students come to our program. Over the past 4 months I have hadthe honor of running the Jr. High Program called the Gate. One of my favoritemoments each Wednesday night is being able to watch and facilitate thestudents and our student/leaders develop friendships with the kids that cometo the Gate. I feel that since we only get a couple of hours with these studentseach week we must make the very best use of that time. Over the past 4months the schedule has not changed and the splitting of the genders continuesto be a successful method of helping our leaders get on a more personal levelwith the kids. Along with having been handed the reins of this ministry, I havehad the benefit of having a co-op student available to assist me in the planningof small and big group games. Our small group leaders have been able to gainthe trust and respect of their students and this small group time is proving tobe very successful. In 2015 we are looking at splitting our groups from 2 guysand 2 girls groups to 3 of each group making the group size smaller. Thisdecision will be made in the coming weeks based on research with theeffectiveness in giving the students more time to voice their opinions on thesmall group material provided each week.

Along with the growth of the Jr. High Program we have seen many of the Jr.Highs show growth in their spiritual journey with the Lord. During the past 4months we have been able to show them the impact that Jesus has had onother people’s lives and we’re now seeing the impact that Jesus is having ontheir lives. When they come to Jr. High they are excited to grow in God togetherand to learn more about their faith and how to show it to everyone they comeacross. I am excited for the future of these kids and what God has planned fortheir lives and hope to also have your prayers alongside ours that these kids willbe world changers for Jesus.

BG Club Report2014-15

Report prepared by Marc Desroches

This year has seen bigchanges to our BGprogram. The leadershipteam has changed withTiffanie and MarcDesroches sharing theleadership duties asco-directors. We have

recruited 9 new leaders for this year’s program who have workedinto our 7 returning leaders from last year. Our program has seena big change to its program curriculum. The children are learningfrom the “What’s in the Bible” curriculum, that teaches childrenthe stories of the bible from Genesis to Revelation. The newcurriculum to this point has been well received by the participantsand the leaders. Through the first half of the year we have seenmany successes in the program through our monthly events, including our opening (meet & greet) night, Hallelujah Party, and the return of the Zootek animals at our Noah night (an annualfavorite).

We continue our leadership fellowship through our monthlypot-luck meetings on the last Sunday of every month. Upcomingevents planned for this coming year include, our Praise-a-thon,Skating night, Easter party, and Joyful noise concert. Wecontinue to look forward to what the Lord has planned for thisprogram in the upcoming year.
