Facebook’s Internet.org Internet.org is a program that partners with local telecom companies in developing countries, to provide free internet services through www.internet.org to those in low income countries who have had no previous access to the internet.
1 year after launch, 9 million people went online.
Growing Mobile Proliferation GDP growth rate in developing nations raises by as much as 1.2% with every 10% increase in mobile penetration.
There are already 4.5 billion phones in developing countries, and growing.
Of the 2/3 unconnected people in the world, many will get on the internet in coming years.
