AGGREGATION OF AVAILABLE INFORMATION CONTENTSThough organised efforts for documentation has not been done so far; recorded videos, still photos, published reports etc. are available with various agencies, especially with respect to the pre-project phase. Some related footages are available with various media agencies/channels also. All such rushes/footages/files will be collected and utilised for documentation.

DIGITISATION OF CONTENTS FOR VARIOUS REQUIREMENTSVarious agencies will be having documented contents/reports in diverse formats. Moreover soft-copies of various contents may not be available. So all the available contents are to be converted to standard and uniform formats for making them useable for various requirements including reporting, telecasting, webcasting, archiving etc.



RECORDING/ACQUIRING OF NEW CONTENTS (VIDEO DOCUMENTATION)Progress/Achievements having visual impact will be recorded professionally with telecast standards. The stories/events/profiles to be recorded will be finalised in consultation with RKVY officials and will be acquired following a well prepared time schedule. Geotagging will be done to make the footages compatible for GIS applications. A video server having 10TB (10000 GB) capacity will be set up at our studio for exclusive handling and realtime editing of RKVY videos.

PROGRAMMES FOR TELECASTSuccess stories told in a striking manner is the best way to impress public and to create positive thinking about the scheme. Of all the achievements/progress screened, visually rich themes having programme relevance will be identified and will be captured with professional setup having telecast quality. Industry standard camera/lighting solutions suitable for technical documentation will be used for production. Post production will be done on professional edit suits with commentary voice, graphics, effects, background score etc. These programmes thus produced will be telecast through channels (will have to be finalised through discussions) hiring appropriate time slots.



DEVELOPMENT OF AN ACTIVE WEB-GIS PLATFORMGIS is a “set of tools for collecting, storing, retrieving, transforming, analysing and displaying data that are spatially referenced to the Earth”. It stores information about the world as a collection of thematic layers that can be linked together by geography and facilitates scientific modeling and analysis of information and processes and allows a natural visualization of the same. Active Web GIS allows sharing and use of geographical information through web. The advantage of this is that it can be accessed from anywhere with a PC and Internet connection without having the need for GIS softwares in any of the client machines.

This will enable the RKVY to document and manage the entire information on a geo-tagged way so as to make it more meaningful, productive and dynamic. The advantage of Active Web GIS is that it allows access to anywhere with a PC and internet connection and does not require any software to be installed for information access, thereby eliminating the financial burden of purchase and maintenance of software by stakeholders. The information and reports can be viewed, navigated and queried in any Internet Browser application that comes in every PC along with Windows, Linux or any other operating system.



DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPREHENSIVE WEB-PORTAL FOR RKVY

A comprehensive Web Portal with various modules to cater to the communication/documentation/reporting/archiving requirements of RKVY will bedeveloped and operationalised. The various modules will be finalised based on the discussions and need assessments. It will be designed in such a way to bring all the agencies/components/activities under a single window for effective and time bound management of the project. It will act both as an archiving platform for the completed activities and a management platform for the on-going and forthcoming activities.



GENERATION OF REPORTS INCLUDING MULTI-MEDIA PRESENTATIONSThe Active Web GIS Platform and RKVY Portal will be designed to generate reports of diverse formats which will enable the efficient management of RKVY in the most fruitful manner. Apart from this, we will be happy to prepare various multi media presentations with the resources gathered; for favour of multi-level reporting and various presentations.

PUBLICATION OF NEWS LETTER / ANNUAL COMPENDIUM Since we are tracking all the major RKVY initiatives in a regular manner, it would be productive to have publications highlighting various projects/progress/achievements. For this quarterly News Letters and an annual compendium are proposed. A compendium on success stories/achievements with scheme highlights is proposed with attractive layout and design in multicolour 96 page book format for one time yearly compilation of successful interventions by SHM projects/components. This will keep the RKVY live among policy makers, administrators, stake holders, extension personnel etc.
