Mike Babcock is in his seventh season as head coach of the Red Wings.  He has compiled an impressive 335-142-62 record thus far during histenure in the Motor City, including a league-best 159-84-29 on the road over that time.  Last season, Babcock became just the third coach inNHL history to win 300 games over a six-season span, joining Scotty Bowman and Glen Sather.  Under his watch, the Red Wings have twicecaptured the Presidents’ Trophy as the NHL’s regular-season champion (2006, 2008).  The Saskatoon, SK, native was a finalist for the 2008Jack Adams award and won the Sporting News' 2008 NHL Coach of the Year award as voted on by his peers.  He was named the NHL'sCoach of the Decade (2000-09) by both the Sporting News and Sports Ilustrated.com.  Babcock, 48, has also represented Canada at severalinternational competitions.  He is the first coach to win all three components of the Triple Gold Club - World Championships (2004), Stanley Cup(2008) and Olympics (2010).
