1. Follow directions below to make cabbage juice indicator.

2. Each group member tests the pH of their substance using the cabbage juice indicator in a clear plastic cup. Record your results.

Making Cabbage Juice Indicator

1. Rip the cabbage leaf into small pieces and place in plastic bag.

2. Add ¾ cup very warm water and seal the bag closed.

3. Gently squeeze the bag for about 3 min. until the water turns dark blue.
