DESTINATION: INAUGURATION 2016-2017 American Government PBL Entry Packet for Interest Groups Driving Question: What can you do to be part of the process of electing the president of the United States? Explanation: Elections are essential to our representative democracy. Students will understand how people who are elected into powerful position in our society get to those positions. Habits of Mind: Certain behaviors are indicative of the efficient, effective problem solver. Habits of mind are important characteristics that you need to have to become effective thinkers. During this project we will be focusing on thinking interdependently. Good problem solvers realize that all of us together are more powerful, intellectually and physically, than any one individual. Problem solving has become so complex that no one has access to all the data needed to make critical decisions. No one person can consider as many alternatives as several people can.
