and luxurious sensory experiences, premium Swedish sauna and steam bath manufacturer Tylö is proud to present Design line – four brand new and highly innovative sauna concepts. We have lovingly named

them Sensation, Passion, Panorama and Simplicity.

belief that all matter derives from just four elements. Inspired by this ancient principle, Tylö has reinterpreted the classical elements

to comprise the four fundamental components around which Tylö’s world revolves – water, wood, stone and glass.

the designIn their quest for perfection, Tylö’s team of product developers and designers, led by Jan Bjärnhag, continuously scour the world for

materials, solutions and designs that will enhance the sauna bathing experience. The four different expressions of the Design line offer the very latest innovations in the realm of visual and sensory experiences.

waterAs one of the four classical elements, water is a necessity for

all life on our planet. In its three states – solid, liquid and vapour – it is an ever-present part of Earth’s natural hydrologic cycle. Historically

water has played a key part in our human rituals of cleansing and relaxation, and is the main inspiration for our Sensation sauna.

SensationAs the name Sensation implies, Tylö views the element of water as much more than a necessity for everyday life. Water is alive. It is rich and invigorating. And it exists in a constant state of flux.

The sloping wall of the Sensation sauna captures these qualities in the waterfall feature that occupies so prominent and central a place. Revitalise and rejuvenate yourself under the rippling cascade of water and the soothing vapour it produces.

“Sometimes gentle and soothing, sometimes roaring and energising, water conveys a number of different emotions.

That is also why the waterfall feature plays such a pivotal role for the experience of our Sensation sauna.”

woodQuintessentially associated with Scandinavia, the organic element

of wood is a living material, even when it is dissociated from its origins. Its layers and growth rings are an intriguing account of its history and,

with a craftsman’s skilful touch, wood adds a tactile appeal to every surface. The Panorama sauna was created with this in mind.

PanoramaWherever you choose to install the Panorama sauna, the sense of being close to nature is unmistakable. Surrounded on all sides by wood, you can sit back, unwind and enjoy the luxury of total relaxation.

The Panorama design features all the time-honoured attributes of wood, while making a statement with its bold elements of design, such as the overlapping benches and generous floor-to-ceiling windows.

stonePacked with minerals, the solid aggregate of stone makes up the outer

crust of Earth. From the Stone Age until the present day, all forms of this primeval element have been essential building blocks in every stage of

the advance of civilisation. Stone is a durable and beautiful construction material, laying the foundation for our work on the Passion sauna.

PassionThe Passion sauna manifests itself in the form of a solid cube. Its backbone is an entire wall made of black and graphite slate, creating an exquisite backdrop for the sauna heater.

We believe true revitalisation comes through returning to your origins by getting in touch with your senses and the elements. Incorporating stone into a design creates a powerful bond between man and nature.

“To me, a beautiful piece of slate exudes strength and solidity. The material begs to be admired. That is why I chose to incorporate slate as a powerful, proud

and elegant design element in the Passion sauna.”

glassAn entirely man-made material, glass has been enriching human life for thousands of years. Flexible molten glass can be blown into almost any shape at all, allowing wavelengths of light to penetrate its transparent

surface. The use of glass, creating a sensation of light and spaciousness, was a prime objective behind the creation of the Simplicity sauna.

SimplicityBy seamlessly integrating a total of twelve panoramic windows into its lacquered frame, the Simplicity sauna offers a 180 degree view of its surroundings.

The enjoyment of a liberating, ethereal experience opens the way for a sensation of genuine relief to wash over your body and mind, leaving you fully awake to all that the rest of the day has to offer. The Simplicity design opens your senses to a new world.

“By adding panes of glass reminiscent of Venetian blinds, I want to create a window to the world, In which one can curiously explore one’s surrounding. The seamless meeting

between surfaces is what the Simplicity sauna is all about.”

the craftsmanshipBased in the Swedish coastal town of Halmstad, Tylö has been

synonymous with the very best in saunas and steam bathing since 1950. Even today, every single component is handcrafted in our own factory.

Our constant ambition in our day-to-day work with the elements – water, wood, stone and glass – is not to alter them, but merely to refine them.

a fully styled concept, ready to be installed and enjoyed immediately. However, the collection also gives you full freedom to choose and

combine details and accessories according to your own preference and taste. Explore the many different options that Design line offers

to create a personal sanctuary to your own liking.

Passionsize: Custom-made.

MateriaLs: The Passion sauna’s exterior is clad in light beech veneer. The interior walls are covered with aspen panels and the sauna benches are in American alder. The sauna also features a wall section in elegant slate as well as a lowered ceiling in aspen. Other details include a decór in espresso ash and a frameless glass front.

Heater: Floor-standing Sense or Expression.

aDDitionaL inforMation: The Passion sauna’s unique design is immediately evident in the carefully selected materials and stunning combination of wood, stone and glass.

Panoramasize: Custom-made.

MateriaLs: The Panorama sauna’s exterior features a façade of tinted glass and horizontal planks in tiger ash. Inside, the panels and benches are made entirely of aspen.

Heater: Floor-standing Megaline series.

aDDitionaL inforMation: The blend of materials and unique styling enhance the splendour of the Panorama sauna and create a harmonious mix of constantly changing angles and perspectives.

Sensationsize: Custom-made.

MateriaLs: The Sensation sauna’s exterior features a high-gloss lacquered finish. The rear wall in the interior is made of heat-treated espresso ash, while the benches are made of slightly lighter tiger ash.

Heater: Floor-standing Sense or Expression.

aDDitionaL inforMation: The Sensation sauna has a steam-ing, rippling waterfall. Comple-menting the sauna with Ruben sky lights creates an even pleasanter and more relaxing atmosphere.

Simplicitysize: Custom-made.

MateriaLs: The Simplicity sauna’s exterior is finished in a high-gloss lacquer. The door is made of tiger ash, while the interior walls and the benches are all in aspen. The decór trim in the interior is made of tiger ash. The lines of the sweeping windows transition into elegant light strips.

Heater: Sense or Expression.

aDDitionaL inforMation: The Simplicity sauna’s sweeping windows are seamlessly inte-grated into the high-gloss cube.
