Computer Aided Design CAD

• creating 3 dimensional designs of solids and surfaces

• these designs can be used for

• Simply a 3D look of a design (for fun)

• Creating manufacturing drawings for technicians to build the designs

• Used in other applications to create simulations of dynamic systems

• Used in finite element analysis of structures
