QUICK ADAPT SYSTEM The Quick Adapt mounting jack is a simple and practical fastening device that provides a universal connect method for mounting fixtures to all three JESCO decorative systems – Monorail, Monopoint/Multipoint and Standard linear Track System. Snap and twist, Quick Adapt locks in place providing a strong, reliable connection for a broad range of beautiful hanging elements. This straightforward versatile locking system isan essential ingredient for a host of design options, standard or custom, cascading pendantsor close-to-ceiling mounted, adaptable to most track systems, conforming to any geometry.

STANDARD TRACK SYSTEMTrack Adapter with a built-in Quick Adapt receptacle allows the use of Quick Adapt Pendants or Spots on Standard Line Voltage Track Systems. An extensive collection of exquisite styles adds drama and grace to any retail, commercial or upscale residential space. Hand-blown and cased-glass shades, along with metal and ceramic designs are offered in a broad selectionof contemporary patterns, textures and delicate color combinations.

Quick Adapt Pendants are effortlessly adaptableto the JESCO Monorail System as well asMonopoint/Multipoint Systems and Standard Track System. Installed on our streamlined Monorail System in straight or contoured patterns,multiple Quick Adapt Pendants may easily slidealong the rail for precise positioning. Monopointor Multipoint surface mounted options also provide an extensive variety of dazzling design choices.

A variety of functional, decorative, adjustablependants are available with MR16, Halogen JC Bi-Pin and Xenon Bi-Pin sources.

· Fixture adapter (MA-FA, sold separately) is required when used with the Monorail system.· All Quick Adapt Pendants are supplied with 8-feet of field-cuttable cable, Quick Adapt Jacks, socket assemblies, hang straight tubes, 12-volt lamps and protective lamp shields, where required. MONORAIL SYSTEM

The JESCO Monorail is a custom configurablelighting system that offers endless possibilities to enhance architectural detailing or to createinterest. With a beautiful array of Quick ConnectPendants and Spots to select from, the Monorail System allows custom styling for any lighting application. The Monorail is hand-bendableto create graceful curves, up to a minimum radius of 12”. It is a low voltage single-circuit, two-conductor rail, available in 4- and 8-footlengths, and may be field-cut.

Layout:Start by determining the shape and length of run of the Monorail. The Monorail run must be placed directly beneath the junction box with Surface Mounted Transformers or Power Feed Canopies. Longer runs and geometric shapes are made possible with connectors to form a straight-line, a “T”,an “X” configuration, or create a sharp angle with the Flexible Connector. The same configurations may be achieved with the use of non-conductiveconnectors where power needs to be isolated.

Suspension:Determine how far down below the ceiling the Monorail is to be suspended. Monorail may be suspended with Rigid Standoffs (MA-S) to provide a 3” to 48” drop. Also available are Rigid Standoffs for vaulted ceilings (MA-SS) and T-Bar ceilings (MA-ST). For a cleaner look, the Monorail may be suspended with the field-adjustable Aircraft Cable (MA-SC). Power Feed Canopies (MA-PF1 or MA-PF2) also provide support to the Rail. The Rail should be supported at every 36”, with more frequent suspensions on tight curves. Individual Quick Adapt Spots may be suspended 9” to 48” fromthe Monorail with Fixture Extensions (MA-FE).

Power: The transformer is key to the Monorail system. The Monorail system is rated at 25A, i.e. 300 watts at 12 volts; and 600 watts at 24 volts. Start by addingup the wattage for all the Pendants and Spots intended for use on the Monorail. Most Pendants and Spots employ a 50 watt lamp, therefore a 300watt transformer will power 6 elements. If the total lamp wattage exceeds the wattage of the transformer, you may either lower the wattage of each element, or introduce a second transformer. A non-conductive connector will provide a continuous run of Rail, and yet isolate the two powersources into separate circuits. There are two basic types of transformers – Surface Mounted and Remote Transformers.

Surface Mounted Transformers:Surface Mounted Transformers are decorative and are best suited for applications where there is an existing junction box in a finished ceiling. SurfaceMounted Transformers are available in electronic and magnetic versions, ranging from 12V 150 watts to 24V 600W. Surface Mounted Transformerssuspend the Monorail 3” from the ceiling, and are compatible with standard 3” Rigid Standoffs. A Power Feed Cable Extender (MA-PFS) may beadded for longer drops of 48” or 96”.

Remote Transformers:Remote Transformers provide a clean look. The transformer is installed out of sight in a remote, accessible location behind the ceiling or wall. Power is introduced to the Monorail with the Single Power Feed Canopy (MA-PF1) for a single run of Rail; or Dual Power Feed Canopy (MA-PF2) for two isolated runs of Rail. These power feed canopies provide a 6” drop from the ceiling, and may be extended with Power Feed Extensions (MA-PFE).Alternatively, the field-adjustable Cable Suspension Power Feed Canopy (MA-PFCS) may be used to bring power from the remote transformer to theMonorail.

Elements:We offer a charming collection of Quick Adapt Pendants and Spots, which can be mixed and matched on the same run of Monorail. Each elementrequires a Fixture Adapter (MA-FA), to provide connection to the Monorail. Quick Adapt Pendants include the shade, 8’ cable that may be field-shortened, socket assembly and hang-straight tube, a 12V lamp, plus a protective lamp shield where applicable. For 24V applications, besure to use a 24V lamp.

All of our remote magnetic transformers are equipped with debuzzing coils. If the sound level is still evident, an additional debuzzingcoil may be used to further reduce the noise emission. The debuzzing coil is to be wired to the 120 volt input line. The appropriate debuzzing coil required should be based on the wattage of the transformer.
