Young Designers’ Exhibition (YODEX)

• Young Designers’ Exhibition (YODEX) since 1982 is the largest design exhibition especially oriented to students in Asia.

• YODEX is a graduating show which brings design graduates’ works under one roof and attracts more than 95,000 visitors from Taiwan and abroad every year.

• Dynamic power of young designers in various design disciplines such as fashion design, industrial design, communication design, and interior design.

• Professional platform for graduates to find work, placement and commission.

To promote American culture and values, the

United States Government has established

over 400 American Corners around the world,

which offer library services and provide a place

to hold programs and community activities.

As the digital era unfolds, the U.S. Department

of State, in cooperation with local partners in

Italy, Portugal, Cyprus and Greece.

American Innovation Center (AIC) in Taiwan is

the first of its kind in Asia.

Mission & Objectives

AIC seeks to promote digital learning and distribute the latest information about innovation.

The four major themes — innovation, entrepreneurship, digitalization, and culture & design — were developed by the Center to provide the public, independent designers and students with the most relevant, up-to-date information and curriculum. We hope this will inspire people to think outside the box and become participants in the digital economy, and eventually, make the Center a new innovation model for Asia.

The original chain was shallow saucer serving both drinking vessel and oil lamp functions. Taking the

original’s saucer form, the designer then incorporated the western tradition of eggcups in a novel

creation melding east and west.
