Design a cardboard rocket

Use this idea to design your own rocket

You will need a kitchen roll tube, some paper, cardboard, a little tinfoil, a pencil, a ruler, colours and glue.

Cut the paper to cover the tube, cut the tube if your paper is shorter

Cut paper and design the outside of your rocket

Decide where the window of your rocket will go and colour

Cut and glue on tinfoil

Glue paper around tube and cut 4 slits about 4cm long opposite each other at the end of the tube to add the base

Cut 2 triangles 12cm wide and 7 cm high, cut paper to cover and design

Cut about half way up one of the triangles and about half way down on the other and slot into each other.

Slot into the slits at the base of the rocket and cut a paper circle

Colour for the top of your rocket and cut in about half way and glue over

Attach to the top of your rocket, take a photo and email it to your teacher.
