Descriptive Pairs

In class, we started out with pair ideas, and sketch ideas.

Although I liked all the ideas I had, some were better than others.

they

were

all fun...

and some were

hilarious.

Some were cute.

Some were interesting,

but looked better other ways.

this was the original, which ended up more successful than the !nal dra".

#e progression that I am most proud of, howeevr, is the de-sign I chose to complete my prject with. I kept with the idea

of dice and thick, loaded letters, but modi!ed it to !t the essence of the words better with every dra".

#is is the !nal product that I ended up with. Over the process of the design for this pair, I thickened the “load” of the letters, and bounced the word loaded along with the dice. #e dice I also made three dimensional and rolling with movement, shown with the shadow lines under the dice and the bouncy feel of the letterforms. I also incoorporated the numbers three and four since they are typical loaded dice numbers. I feel that I captured the essence of the words nicely, but I wish I could have gotten the feel of the word “loaded” a little more, but I’m still

happy with how it turned out.
