KATHMANDU, Oct 18: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa, who reached New Delhi to discuss blockade at border points, held talks with Indian Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj on Sunday.The meet focused on working for peace, stability & reconciliation in Nepal, Spokesperson at Indian Ministry for External Affairs Vikas Swarup said in a tweet. Also present on the occasion were Indian Foreign Secretary S Jayashankar, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae and Nepali Ambassador to India Deep Kumar Upadhyay. Earlier today, Indian Foreign Secretary S Jayashankar called on DPM Thapa at Hotel Oberoi.Despite meeting between foreign ministers from Nepal and India, no concrete decision on lifting blockade has been made public.It is still unclear whether DPM Thapa will meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is said that Thapa will get change to meet Modi only of Indian side turn positive from minister-level meet. Foreign Minister Thapa is scheduled to meet Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh today itself.
