Initial prototype development for this solution was funded under a Long-Range Broad Agency Agreement (BAA)

Further proof-of-concept development is currently funded under a 2nd BAA

This solicitation is part of the Wireless Broadband Technology Demonstrator project – a joint effort between DHS Customs & Border Protection (CBP) and DHS S&T

The Turtle Alert school safety application is built on the Turtle Mike technology.

An Internet-based application that allows: … Smart Phones, Tablets, Laptops, Desktop Devices within an organization (School, Government Office) To communicate immediately with: …First Responder Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Systems: Police, Fire, Medical, Public Works In a managed emergency response.

Turtle Alert application software is downloaded to School Staff …Smart Phones, Tablets, Laptops & Desktops.

Application Server and Responder Radios are inter-connected • Staff talk to responders’ radio channels on their devices, &

responders talk to staff via radios (broadband conferences) • Staff can communicate via text through app • Staff location enhanced by GPS & audio • Staff status (Help or Safe group) registered • Video available from Security Cameras and Staff
