DESCRIPTION

Morning: The session started with an introduction of students. Later students were given awareness about ML and data science, their

applications in today's world. Then session continued with python basics, an hands-on session where students were taught to print and input a value, if-else statements, for and while loop. Student’s actively participated and

enjoyed writing programs for given questions.

Afternoon: The session continued with python basics. Students were taught about lists, creating dictionaries and covered the simple basics required for starting an ML algorithm. Students were interactive and involved in solving

the problems.

DESCRIPTION

In the morning session a talk on Network security was given by Dr.Anjan K. Objectives, Reasons, Types of cyber-crime, Types of cyber-attacks were discussed to create an awareness among the students about hacking and

threats and also to gain knowledge about the providing Network security to get secured from the attacks.

Some of the terms like hacking, malware, cyber-crime, phishing, Stuxnet, spoofing were explained. In the afternoon session Mr.shivakumar, professor of MCA Dept. guided

about the block chain technology to provide security to the network. The terms discussed is about virtualization, cloud and Fog technology etc.

Morning: The session started with a brief recap of yesterday's topic. Then the session continued with defining a function in python along with some

problems. He taught about importing and creating json files. Then he taught about the Google search engine works followed by problems on search mechanisms.

Afternoon: The session started with importing pandas. Then he introduced

ML and data science. We discussed about common problems in data processing and how to solve them and even practiced few example problems

The second day of open course on cyber security and block chain Morning session was addressed by Dr.Usha B A, professor and head of ISE dept. She gave some points on how to secure Information over internet.

Basically an awareness on information which is fed by every individual in day to day life in browsers such as google, UC browser and also for some

android applications is taught and steps to avoid the loss of information through such domains was made students to understand.

A Need of Cyber law to eliminate the thefts and loss of data or information in cyber space (a communication medium) is discussed in the afternoon session by Dr. Arun Kumar-professor and head of MCA dept. A knowledge

on cybercrime, intellectual property, Data protection and privacy is shared by him among the students.

India Ltd. who visited our campus to make us understand how to make a Market Feasibility study and explained the way to go ahead with launching a product or project. This is a very interactive session and we also gained

Morning session was addressed by Mrs. Bharathi R of Dept. of CSE. She

gave some information on IOT and security attacks. Security is the biggest concern in adopting Internet of things technology, with concerns that rapid development is happening without appropriate consideration of the

profound security challenges involved and the regulatory changes that might be necessary.

Morning: The session started with introduction to programming with Git with some examples. Students were very excited to do that since it was too

new to many of them. Then the session continued with introduction to ML with types under it. Then students were instructed to download a data set and there was a break for lunch. But on the whole the session was too good

, it was a professional approach.

Afternoon: Speaker continued with same zeal and worked with processing the data set. Students were instructed to correct their junk files into an useful one so that we can use those in ML algorithms. Students found it

interesting and were involved in it.

The speaker for the day was Mr.Darshan from Fidelity. The speaker

explained the different ways Project Management takes place in thr industry. We were introducted to Azure Devops and Atlassian Jira which are softwares used by Project Managers. We were also given knowledge on

the stock market and how we as students need to think as investors. We were given more insights on project management using different case studies which included stories from various famous investors and

entrepreneurs such as Warren Buffet.
