DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE Association Report 2015 – 2016
DEPARTMENT EVENTS On July 22nd 2015 all department “association inaugural” was held. For the Academic year
2014 – 2015 report was read by our HOD Mrs.C.Premila rosy, our department III C.S
students Ms.Afreen Begam and Ms.Vijayavalli presented a paper on the topic
"AMAZING TECHNOLOGY IN SURFACE COMPUTING", the chief guest was
Mr.Janagiraman Assistant Professor, Govt Men's College (Auto)Kumbakonam and the
chief guest gave valuable thoughts to our students.

On August 3rd 2015 Project demo class for our department U.G & P.G final year students
was given by Mr.K.Antony Justin - from Alpha Sense Technology,
Mr.Balachander from Spansy Technology and Mr.Muruganantham from Indian Brain
Technology explained their project demo classes on various topics to our students.

On 3rd September 2015 "NATIONAL LEVEL TECHNICAL CLUSTER - CSTWIS 2015"
was conducted by CS department .The Chief Guest Mr.Jagadesh chandar, Maavan
Technology, from, Bangalore and Mr.Sankaran M.D of Indian Brain Technologies the
chief guest appreciated and motivated our department students regarding their curiculars.
We conducted five events based on the rules and regulations.The various events are
1.Mind Zoom 2.Dumb Chardes 3.Connection
4.Web designing and 5.Marketing
Nearly TWENTY TWO colleges participated in this event . Finally the overall shield was won
by Government Men's college , kumbakonam.
On September 30, 2015 Our Computer Science department Association was organized.
The chief guest Ms.U.Sangeetha B.Tech., & A.Shobha Bharathy B.E., Software
developer, IRIS Solution, Trichy presented a wonderful seminar on the topic ANDROID &
LINUX.
On 16th March 2016 Inter Computer Science Technical Event (ICSTE – 2016)
was organized by our department PG students among BCA, CS, IT departments.
The various Events are ●Silent mode ●Connection ●Minute maid & ●Marketing
Nearly 50 students were participated. The students won the following prizes

On 16th March 2016 Association Valedictory was conducted. The chief guest were Mr.Mohamed Rafi CEO and Mr.T.Vinoth Kumar Technical head in ladder host. The
Chief guest gave a presentation to our students on the topic “DOUBLE MINUS &
HIDDEN SUCCESS ” and also the chief guest interacted with our students by
questionnaires and also taught our students how to be an active and optimistic forever.
STUDENT AND STAFF OUTSIDE PERFORMANCES
On June 19th 2015, Book fair was announced by Tanjore Collector At Tanjore Aranmanai
Valagam. From CS department 30 students visited the book fair along with our H.O.D
Mrs.C.Premila Rosy.
On 23rd September 2015 Annai College of Arts &Science, Kumbakonam conducted a
National Level Technical meet “ITRIX-2015”. Our department II & III year students
participated in various events.
on 30th September 2015 AVC College of Engineering, Mayiladuthurai conducted a
Technical event “TECHNOTHIRST 15-16”. Our department II & III year student
participated in various events.
On 4th November 2015 , Honourable chief Minister’s Award for Excellence in e-
Governance 2015 – 16 had announced a Government Project. On behalf of C.S department.
TEAM LEADER -Ms.R.Srilakshmi (II MSC -CS). The Team members are M.Aysha Banu &
E.Elamathi (II B.SC - CS) were participated & selected for state level and we received cash
award rupees 7500/- and certificates.
On 7th of November 2015 Agila India Ayyappan Seva Sangam conducted a function at
Quality Inn Viha for giving an award to first three class rank holders. Our C.S department
UG II & III year and PG II year students received their memento.
On 12th February 2016 to 5th March 2016 TVS company conducted JOB TRAINING
for final year students. From our department 7 students attended the training.
On the month of April 2015 CS department H.O.D Mrs.C.Premila Rosy published
international journals of applied engineering research on the topic “Unconstraint Hotel
Room demands in Analytical Hierarcy process”.
On 23rd September 2015 Our CS department HOD Mrs.C.Premila Rosy presented a paper
“A Delibrate Decision Conserve Model for Hotel Revenue Management “ in the National
Conference on Recent Trends in Computer Science and application organized by Department
of CS and BCA at Mass College of Arts and Science.
On 4th March 2016 our CS department HOD Mrs.C.Premila Rosy published a paper at
International conference on Big data science and analytics ICBDSA-16 held at Sengamala
thayar educational trust Women, Manarkudi on the “Topic Professional Hotel Room
Stipulate Forecasting For Tourist Spots”.
In the month of JUNE 2015 our staff Mrs.J.Lavanya published a research paper in
International Journals on the topic“Enhancing customer Relationship Managemnet by
intergrating customer and product values based on clustering and indexing technique”.
STUDENT AND STAFF INSIDE PERFORMANCES
On 9th july 2015 our college union election was held. Our CS department student
E.Elamathi 2nd CS was elected as Cultural Secretary.
On 15th September 2015 Our college Maths department conducted “Ganith 2015” . Our
department II & III year students participated in various events. III year students got prize in
the event collage.

On 7th October 2015 Our college BBA department conducted “Talent Brust-2015” .Our
department I year Students P.SriVidhya and B.Abinaya won the III prize in “Business
Exploxer contest” through PPT. III year students M.I. A.Afreen Begam & P.V.Pavithra
participated in Corporate Walk event.
On 21st December 2015 Crib & Carols competition were conducted among the five teams of
our College. Our C.S department combined with Tamil Department and the Name given for
our team is Daredom.
In crib & Carols competition ,10 students from-II CS,6 students from I CS participated
along with Tamil Department students.

On 12th January 2016 Tamil department had organized Pongal competition among all
departments. The Staff and Students participated in various competition.
In Staff Events Mrs.Lakshmi and Ms.Vaishnavi were participated in cooking
Mrs. J..Lavanya was participated in Mrs.Idhaya competition.
In Students Events Our C.S department students won the following prizesII C.S

A.Princiya, I C.S S.Ramya, J.Devarashini won II Prize in Group Dance.

On 25th January 2016 Our college Tamil department distributed the certificates for the
Oratorical competition among all department. Our C.S department Ms.M.Ragiki I M.SC won
the 1st prize on the topic Bharathiyin viduthalai.
On 31st January 2016 Our college Tamil department distributed the certificates for the
competition associated with “mwpQh; mz;zh gpwe;j ehs;”!. Our CS department II year
Student M.Jayasri won third prize in drawing and R.Shanmuga priya won III prize in
Handwriting.
Our CS department HOD Mrs.C.Premila Rosy had received a momento for 100% University
Examination Result for the academic year 2014-2015 during the Annual Sports Meet.
SPORTS
On 27th August 2015 Bharathidasan university intercollegiate Table Tennis Tournament
was conducted at Cauvery College. Our department Mary Priyadharshini and S.Sterlin from
II CS won the Runner up cup.
On 3rd September 2015 Bharathidasan university intercollegiate Volley Ball Tournament
was conducted at Poombukar College .Our department Ms.Ramya from II CS participated and
won the runner up cup.
On 14th & 15th September 2015 Bharathidasan university intercollegiate Kho - Kho
Tournament was conducted at Raja's College ,Pudhukottai. Our department MS.Hemalatha
from I M.Sc participated and won III Prize.
n 2nd November 2015 CM Trophy for Table Tennis was conducted at Kamala
