• Department of Computer Science was established in 1997 as part of FPV UCM

• in 2012 it was transformed into the Department of Applied Informatics and Mathematics

• scientific and research activities of the department focused primarily on the following areas:

– Grid systems and security of the systems

– Neural Networks

– New methods in teaching

– Use of ICT in education

– Automation

– Remote experiments
