Mr Dio Brian BILLI, a final-yearundergraduate student, earlier won theInstitute of Materials, Minerals and Mining(IoM3) Young Persons' World LectureCompetition (Hong Kong Heat). He willrepresent Hong Kong to compete at theonline Young Persons' World LectureCompetition Final in November 2021.

Miss Angel LEUNG of the Department ofElectrical Engineering won the Gold Awardin ASM Technology Award 2021 under thesupervision of Dr Steve WONG. Mr LO WaiKin of the Department of MechanicalEngineering, under the supervision of DrSteven WANG, received the OutstandingAward in the same competition.

Mr WANG Guifeng and Mr WANG Xiangyu,under the supervision of Prof C W LIM, wonthe Outstanding Award for Civil EngineeringGraduates of Universities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Department of Mechanical Engineering
Dr XU Wanghuai, a recent PhD graduate,received the 2021 Materials ResearchSociety Graduate Student (Silver) Award forhis pioneer research on the development ofa novel droplet-based electricity generator.Under the supervision of Prof WANGZuankai, his research project enabled highlyefficient harvesting of kinetic energy fromwater under a range of work conditions.
