Arun K. Garg, DMDDr. Garg is the founder of Implant Seminars, the nation’s largest pro-vider of dental implant continuing education. He is considered the world’s preeminent authority on bone biology, bone harvesting and bone grafting for dental implant surgery. He has written and published eight books, which have been translated into multiple languages and distributed worldwide. Dr. Garg is the current president of the Interna-tional Dental Implant Association.


Symposium Speakers

Keith Jeffords, M.D., D.D.S. brings an unusual perspective, depth of knowledge and experience to the practice of both plastic surgery and surgery of the head and neck. He has studied dentistry and medicine and has trained in multiple surgical disciplines. With his unique back-ground, Dr. Jeffords brings a different creativity to the practice of Aes-thetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Jeffords has been formally trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Jeffords received his D.D.S. from Emory University School of Den-tistry, Atlanta, Georgia. After dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at Harvard University/ Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, Florida. Dr. Jef-fords then received his M.D. from the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.

He completed his prerequisite training in General Surgery at Eastern Virginia. Dr. Jeffords completed full residency training in the internationally renowned Plastic Surgery program of the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has lectured and presented papers to many medical and dental societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Chicago Dental Society, and the Hinman Dental Society. He has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Jeffords is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a Castle Connolly “Top Doctor”. Dr. Jeffords has been named 5 times as a “Top Doctor” by Atlanta Magazine and is the recipient of 2011 Physician Partner in Excellence Award by Well-star Hospital System. He has received numerous Most Compassionate Doctor and Patients’ Choice Awards. He is listed by Madison Media in “Best Plastic Surgeons in America”.

Keith Jeffords, DDS, MD

Denise is a National Injectable Trainer to physicians in advanced tech-niques for neurotoxins and dermal fillers. Denise is a national injectable trainer who has taught for Allergan (Botox) for seven years and Merz Aesthetics (Radiesse, Belotero, & Xeomin) for six years. She clinically trained for 7 years internationally for Denta-Spa Seminars on Medical Aesthetics. Acted as Laser trainer for 2 major laser companies for 10 years. She is a clinical trainer for Platlete-Rich Plasma company for the last 4 years.

Her primary goal is to help others to achieve a “radiant more dynamic and fresher look for their age.” Her passion for beauty and facial rejuvenation in an attempt create a more “youthful appearance” lead her career focus in non-surgical medical aesthetics for past 15 years. Denise pursued her undergraduate studies in Nursing at Walsh University in Canton, OH. Most of her 20 years in Nursing has been as an Operating Room Nurse in various specialties with a primary in focus in Plastic and Cardiothoracic Surgery. She furthered her Nursing degree and completed her Master’s in Nursing at the University of Florida and Uni-versity of South Florida. She is a proud grandmother of four and resides in Tierra Verde, FL.

Andre Theberge RDT, CDT, LVI Andre Theberge RDT,CDT, LVI Master Aesthetic technician is the Gen-eral Manager at Drake Precision Dental Lab in Charlotte, NC. He at-tended college at George Brown College in Toronto, Canada for dental technology and began his career as a private technician and subse-quently established commercial dental labs in the Hamilton area. He served as Canadian sales manager for Ivoclar/Vivadent and continued as Technical Manager in the Education Department from 1995 to 2000.

Andre keeps active in continuing education, local implant and aesthetic study clubs and at-tends many courses and hands-on clinics to further his own skills. Andre has been fortunate to have trained with many of the dental industry leaders in ceramics from around the world. This education is distilled into his everyday work and cumulatively is used in his lectures and courses. He continues to lecture, provide hands on courses and has been published in various circulations and is an editorial editor for IDT magazine.

Andre also maintains membership with the CDTO, ADTO, NBC, NADL, and AACD.

Renzo Casellini, MDTRenzo C. Casellini, M.D.T. from Switzerland has been the owner of Swiss Quality Dental Implant Studio in Los Angeles, California for over 40 years. His articles on implants and esthetics have been features in over 50 professional publications throughout the world. He specializes in Osseo integrated implant prosthetics. He is a member of several associations and lectures worldwide on esthetic implant restorations. Renzo received a Mastership from the AAIP, the ICOI, as well as the ACP. In 2007 he became an ICOI/IPS Certified Implant Prosthetist and a

member of the Board. In 2008 he became Board President of the Implant Prosthetic Section of the ICOI. In 2009 he became a Diplomate of the American Implant Dental Association. Mr. Casellini is also an Instructor at Loma Linda University.


Master Ceramist Pinhas Adar studied initially in Tel Aviv, Israel at Ort Yad Shapiro and then completed his internship with Mr. Willi Geller in Zurich, Switzerland. He returned to Israel to complete his Master degree in Dental Technology. He has over 36 years of experience in all phases of dental laboratory technology and has spent these years studying the secrets and principles of Smile Design and the impact of the psychological effects on consumers and has applied this knowledge

in his own practice with extraordinary results. He specializes in the many facets of porce-lain esthetic restorations on both natural teeth and osseointegrated implants. For over 20 years he operated his own private dental laboratory within the multidisciplinary practice of (Team Atlanta) Ronald Goldstein, David Garber and Maurice and Henry Salama. He now has a private practice where he practices, teaches and does research also in Atlanta, Georgia USA.

To a great extent PRP and phlebotomy are two sides of the same coin. Clinicians cannot perform PRP without safely extracting a patients’ blood in the first place.

But what is phlebotomy and PRP? Phlebotomy, alternatively known as venipuncture, is the art and science of extracting a patient’s blood with a syringe. But it is also learning about the patient’s circulatory system and possessing a basic understanding of arteries and veins and which veins to select for proper phlebotomy.

Platelet-Rich Plasma represents the cutting-edge of dental science. It is the process by which a patient’s own blood is extracted and separated into its constituent parts. Platelets are the blood cells that help stop bleeding and promote tissue growth. Re-injecting a high concentration of a patient’s own platelets (generally 5-7 times above baseline levels) into a wound site aids in the healing process. Best of all, because the platelet-rich plasma is coming from the patient’s own body, there is no risk of rejection. In other words, this is as natural as natural gets.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

• Discuss phlebotomy in relation to the healthcare setting; demonstrating skills and knowledge necessary to perform phlebotomy along with infection control

• Identify the anatomic structure and function of body systems related to phlebotomy; recognizing supplies and equipment
