Earth Day 2017

On 21 April 2017, the DENR-EMB Region 3, through The

Manila Bay Unit, in partnership with the City Government of

Tarlac, PENRO Tarlac, SM City Tarlac and Tarlac State University

organized a clean-up activity and Information and Education

Campaign (IEC) drive along Masalasa Creek and residents near

Masalasa Creek, respectively, both in Tarlac City, Tarlac.

The clean-up and IEC drive was attended by 297

participants from LGUs (Brgy. San Roque, Brgy. San Sebastian,

Brgy. Binauganan and Brgy. San Vicente), partner industries

(Toyota Tarlac City, Joechem Environmental, International

Wiring System, BMEG-Tarlac, Nissin-URC, Joechem

Environmental, On Semiconductor, Metro Town Mall, Phelps

Dodge Phils. and Dupont Pioneer) and several contingents of

Armed Forces of the Philippines – Northern Luzon Command.

Assembly and registration was started at 6:30 am at the parking area in front of SM City Tarlac.
