On December 19th, 2015, Dennis Oland was convicted of second degree murder for the killing of his father in 2011. A month after his conviction, Oland's lawyers filed an appeal arguing that the judge made multiple errors in instructing the jury, and for allowing evidence that should have been deemed inadmissible.
