Flash Video Project

This project encompassed taking a film I liked from storyboard to moodboard and identifying a colour scheme and producing a 30 second flash animation in Adobe Flash. We were to demonstrate the ability to analyse, solve, design and create interactive media using flash.

Drink Aware Video - Video project utilizing first person and third person views to tell the narrative of alcohol abuse. The film was shotwith a mix of standard HD camera and a GoPro camera. The videowas then edited in Premier Pro and sound in Adobe Audition.

This was a project to personalise our own smartphone interface. I wanted to create an interface that puts you no more than 3 clicks away from any app on the phone. From sliding the activiation button on the dormant screen you get taken to the home screen where all apps are in forders categorized on the right hand side of the screen. Click on any category and a sub menu of all that folders apps is revealed.

Responsive Web DesignThis was a project to create a small ad’s website that uses a responsive design depending on the screen size it appears on. I created the site to respond to three di�erent screens, desktop,tablet and mobile.

Our �nal year project was a personal choice of the Ballyhoura’s MTB trails. For this I created a website that implmented a unique navigation style. The site was one large page and all the content was arranged and positioned with css. Using the Jquery plugin called scrool path it was then possible to de�ne the navigation path. When a user clicks on the navigation bar the content move’s around the prede�ned path and comes to a stop centered in frontof the viewer.

Big Data Project

For this project it was necessary to take a large data set, 1 million rows and using an in-memory database expoit the data in some way. Using NewYork city crash data and creating a simple website with a Google Map of NewYork and a dropdown list of street names the users can select a street and the map navigates to thatlocation and outputs all the accident details for that area. This project utilized html5 and css3 and javascript for the website with an ODBC php connection toa HANA databace and SQL queries for the data.
