NEW IMAGE. NEW SLOGAN. NEW AMBITION

World renowned for its premium positioning, expertise, selectivity and creativity, Denim Première Vision takes a decisive step forward, giving dynamic new momentum to the show on the cusp of its 10th anniversary in 2017.

Beyond its focus on the culture of denim, with its products, innovations, trends and news, the brand is committed to sharing an understanding of the major challenges in denim’s future with the show’s exhibitors and visitors.

The «Tomorrow is Calling» promotional campaign embodies this evolution through its arresting marketing slogan, and the choice of iconic faces from Generation Z - or Gen C for Creation, Collaboration, Communication and Connection - who are radically overturning established references and practices. With its new image and new thinking, the show taps into the future, and is now positioned to serve an international, multigenerational denim community.

Firmly supported by the international denim community in its strategic development, Denim Première Vision hosts 80 exhibitors.

Welcoming the decision to return to Paris and the new more «experiential» dynamics of the show, they are presenting a specialised & selective offer on the cutting edge of creativity for Spring Summer 18:

 80 exhibitors - Weavers (58%), manufacturers/ launderers/ finishers (12%), accessory makers (18%), fibre producers and spinners (3%), promotional organisations (4%), technology developers…

Know-how and developments from the industry’s 20 most influential countries: Turkey (29%), Italy (11%), Morocco (11%), Japan (6%), France (5%) along with Germany, Pakistan, Belgium, Spain, Tunisia, Brazil, USA, Thailand, India and Hong Kong.

A RETURN TO PARIS APPLAUDED BY INDUSTRY PROS

SPRING SUMMER 18: DENIM UNDERGOES ITS ‘BLUE-VOLUTION’For spring summer 18, only one thing counts: creativity.Reconfigured creativity. A creativity that goes beyond classic denim approaches, embracing more freedom and spontaneity.

Denim opens up to new horizons, new fashion universes and inspirations. It distances itself from all that’s been seen before and done before.

Impulsion, imagination, energy… the coming season is lively and whimsical, marked by simplicity. Multiple influences are all in the mix. It’s a season to have fun, and express yourself in a new way, thanks to a rejuvenated creativity.

In the heart of the Denim Trends Area, 5 major fashion stories find expression to provide direction and inspiration to visitors.

RemoveWeights are lighter, suppler. Fluidity moves into menswear. Structures open up, as in airy light canvas and weaves. Linens are washed, and tie-dyes are placed.

A new orderGraphics are disorderly. Irregular checks and stripes, like pixel effects, move and slide around. This season, it’s also about expressing yourself through «talkative» items where words set the tone. Shapes emphasise criss-crossed looks, in an updated kimono and wrap-top spirit.

Find the final report of the summer summer 18 fashion trends in the Trends Watch you’ll receive the week following the show.

AccurateLines are pure, neat, expediant. Denim cleans up, with unwashed raws, smooth weaves, precise and marked pleats, clean and very contrasting patches, disrupted pointillism...a slightly corrupted «suiting» style of denim.

More mattersMore substance, more presence - spring summer 18 denim features weaves with thicker yarns, heavier cottons. Lines are tactile and coatings are whitened and chalky. In pants, eyelets replace loops, and belts are different - elastic, engineered, wider, etc.

RefreshersDenim becomes newly refreshing, fun, vitamin-boosted. From sky blue to almost-white blue, turquoise or dynamic emerald greens, colours pack a punch in more lightweight pieces. The «almost whites» are clean, enlivened with colourful accents. Floral, tropical and animal embroideries energise denim with fantasy.
