I. Review
Last time, we talked about the present
progressive tense. This tense helps us to
express what is happening now. Can you
make sentences that show what is
happening now?
Example: Students are sitting on their desks.
Anybody who can make other examples?
Very good!
The students give other sentences using
the present progressive tense.
The teacher is teaching.
The students are listening to the teacher.

Now that you know and can remember the
past lesson well, we can now move on to the
next lesson. Look at the picture. Can
anybody read the dialogue?

dialogue?
Correct!
A student reads the dialogue for the
class.
A: What do you do after school?
B: I do my homework.
C: What does your sister do after
school?D: She plays with her friends.
Answer: Present Simple Tense
III. Lesson Proper
That is exactly our lesson for today.
Now, I want you to take a look at the
responses. You can see that the verbs are
underlined. Why do you think the first verb
is in the base form/original form and the
other verb is in s form?
The first verb in the first response is in
the base form because the subject is the
pronoun I. While the second verb in thesecond response is in the s form
because the subject is She.
