Dem. Rep. Jerrold Nadler is at least being honest

how he, and no doubt many Leftists, would like to feast off an

unthinkable tragedy and exploit it in order to pursue a

nonsensical agenda that would ensure only bad guys have guns.

Last night on "The Ed Show," Nadler openly called for President

Obama to "exploit" the murder of 20 children, I think we will be

there if the president exploits it, and otherwise well go on to the

next.

In his statement (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/12/14/Is-Obama-Already-Politicizing-Sandy-Hook-Shooting) to the country yesterday, while he wasn't

specific about what action he intended to take, President Obama did make clear that

action would be forthcoming. Obama also hinted that this action would be politically

divisive when he warned that "meaningful action" would need to be taken "regardless of

the politics."

As we all know this is a "never let a crisis go to waste" president and party. And what we

now have is Nadler, a powerful Democrat, already eager to "exploit" raw emotions and the

massacre of children in order to push an issue Democrats have considered politically

untouchable since Al Gore lost his home state of Tennessee, and along with it, the White

House, during his 2000 presidential bid.

Culturally, politically, intellectually, and in the Supreme Court, Democrats long ago lost in

their unconstitutional crusade to grab our guns, a crusade they had been waging for

decades. But as is the case with all things Leftist, the battle is never really over. These are

mercenary opportunists always biding their time, always waiting to strike, and always

willing to exploit even the most unspeakable of events if it means any kind of political

advantage.

It's also a "damn the facts" crusade. There's no question guns make us safer

(http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2007-04-18.html) and that the only way to

prevent these kinds of tragedies is to have a trained and armed citizenry able to defend

itself when faced with a madman. It's a no-brainer that willing teachers should be armed

and trained. At the very least, an armed security guard should be stationed at every school.

The result would not only offer resistance in the face of an armed attacker, but also a

deterrent.

If you want to attract a mass shooter, create a gun-free zone where these murderers know

no one can fight back. On the other hand, if these killers knew there was a good chance

armed and trained individuals were in that building, they might be a little more reluctant

to enter that building.

These are common sense solutions. But the left has a bigger goal, and that's to disarm the

law-abiding. Guns represent individualism and the ability to take care of one's self -- two

values anathema to leftism itself. This is an ideology that wants its citizenry docile,

vulnerable, and most of all, dependant on government for everything, including theability to protect ourselves and those we love.

We must remind the public that the result of the Left winning the battle to take our guns

would only mean more school shootings. It's just a fact that those capable of such evil will

always have access to guns in the same way those who want anything else prohibited

(guns, gambling, prostitution) always get what they want. But now this evil will know that

any new gun control laws have only made us a society of sitting ducks.

This is a price the Left is willing to pay to consolidate their power around Mother

Government. And in the coming days, the media will also prove its willingness to pay this

same price. They will attempt to turn "gun control" into compassion and opposition to it

into gun nuttery.

It will be a tough fight as all Orwellian fights are, but we must wade in for the sake of the

children.

a 1 in 2.5 million chance that your child will be fatally injured by a shooter in school. Israel had this problem with

and mental conditions of people around us that we interact with on a regular basis -- at schools, workplaces,

and in our homes.

The politicians should be concentrating on promoting a g reater understanding among the public with respect to

how to spot people who are exhibiting signs of mental health problems, and should be encouraging the people

best placed to intervene -- co-workers, friends, teachers and family members -- to do so. Easier said than done,

perhaps, but, we have to start somewhere.

The one decisive halt to their evil agenda would be a severe recession where the mobs take to the streets,

making them so pre-occupied totally with preventing large scale armed conflict they don't have time topropagandize.

Yes, they will try to use chaos as justification for martial law, but martial law against 200 million citizens armed to

the teeth in an area that's 1500 miles wide and 3000 miles long is an effort in futility.

Their military and police forces number only about a couple million people. That's way to few to control mass

uprisings over such a large area. Also, the government's own personnel will break along lines of politics and

ethnicity, which is expected in any violent repercussions against totalitarianism that involves a tribal society.

Yes this was a tragic case. The facts are this: Most gun crimes are caused by thugs and repeat offenders.

Where are these crimes predominantly committed. Deep in the heart of liberal sanctuaries where gun laws are

the most restrictive. You need to have a serious look at the emotion based solutions you want to hoist upon this

country to make you feel good.

Please read the founding fathers discussions about gun rights please. For it is those without this right who suffer

most. Hell just post more "Gun Free" signs, that will fix it!!!

We already have gun control in this country. I can't buy a machine gun or a rocket launcher here. If they decide

to make semi/automatic weapons illegal, I won't lose any sleep over it. As technology improves it's only logical

we re-examine what guns should be legal and what guns shouldn't. If in 100 years a pistol is invented that can

shoot from 1,000 miles (hypothetically of course) away with perfect accuracy and rip through tank armor, I'm

The question is does gun control lead to complete gun ban? I don't think it does, nor do I think it should, we

have too many guns in circulation for to make any difference anyways. I simply think its natural that as weapons

get more powerful our society continually re asses what should be legal and what shouldn't.

I find it fascinating that the self-styled "progressives" lack even the IQ to ask the most fundamental questions in

life, such as "Why does Evil exist?" or "Why does Good exist?" It would seem those they haven't evolved

sufficiently that those questions ever occur to them. It is like "progressives" are some sort of sub-human

species.

Even more fascinating are those inadequately-evolved "progressives" who deny the existence of moral

absolutes. Those same sensate simians then turn around and feign moral outrage at the slaughter of a

classroom full of young children. Those knuckle-dragging "progressives" don't even recognize their illogical

inconsistency when they make a moral judgment like that.

Put enough "progressives" in a room, each in front of a typewriter, and I suppose one of them will eventually

pound out, "This is a Gun Free Zone". The other Socialist simians will then gather around that clever a pe,

thump their chests, and say "Let's put one of those on every school building in the land!"

Thumping mightily, they will feel they have "made the world a safer place".

free will of there is god and a devil is not an answer either. And there are no moral absolutes. Right

Being on guard against tyranny is never irrelevant. This is how you Progressives do it

every time... you laugh at the idea that you could possibly ever become a tyrant. But

you do, you always do. First you start telling people what they can eat or drink, then

telling them when they can receive healthcare, then you take away their guns, then

you start spying on citizens without warrants or oversight, next thing you know the

President has kill lists with citizens on it that get exterminated by executive order

without trial or any kind of due process.
