sUsan BLooM spEaKs on LIFE cYcLE pLannIng sUndaY, MaY 223PM: North Fork Reform Synagogue is pleased to present Susan Bloom speaking in the community room of its shared home with Cutchogue Presbyterian Church, Main Rd. in Cutchogue. She is a wills, trusts and estates attorney whose practice includes both personal representation of individuals with respect to estate plan-ning, pre- and post-nuptial agreements and representation of beneficiaries, execu-tors and trustees in contested and uncontested Surrogate’s Court proceedings concerning the probate and construction of wills, administration of estates and trusts and recovery of estate assets. In addition, Ms. Bloom represents not-for-prof-it institutions as beneficiaries and bank and trust companies in their capacities as executors and trustees. Perhaps the case most memorable for the public related to Brooke Astor and issues of undue influence on the elderly, elder abuse, aides and fiduciary persons. For information contact 631 765-6182.

North Fork Community Theatre’s 53rd season continues with Rodger’s & Ham-merstein’s first collaboration. Having set the standards and established the rules of musical theatre still being followed today, OKLAHOMA!remains, in many ways, their most innovative work. Directed by Robert Horn, produced by Marion Stark, with musical direction by Pat Wall and choreography by Erin and Jan McK-enna, OKLAHOMA! is set in a Western Indian territory just after the turn of the century. The high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. Although the road to true love never runs smooth, with these two headstrong romantics holding the reins, love’s jour-ney is as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road. That they will succeed in making a new life together we have no doubt, and that this new life will begin in a brand-new state provides the ultimate climax to the triumphant OKLAHOMA! All tickets are $20 and can be purchased at www.nfct.com or by calling 631-298-6328. Notice of Open Auditions

out of the attic

These great Cutchogue photos were received by email form Stephen Jones of Bayport with the following message:

My father was the minister at the Cutchogue Presbyterian Church from 1964-1976 and when we moved there in April of 1964 I climbed the steeple and took these photos. During the summers of 1964, 65 and 66 I worked at Wickhams Fruit Farm as a farm laborer. From 1986-88 I served as President of Suffolk County Historical Society.
