It is hard to believe that after this week there is only six weeks of the year to go. That means dare I say it, Christmas is coming very soon. While Mr Logan is away for three weeks I will be acting principal and you are most welcome to contact me if there are any concerns you have. There are lots of events coming up this term and I hope you can participate in all that relate to you and your children. YEAR SIX DINNER Even though it is six weeks away, planning for the year six dinner is well underway with everything is well in hand at our end. What mums and dads need to ensure is that tickets are purchased and outfits chosen so that there is no mad rush in week nine. An email was sent home last week asking parents if they would like to be involved in the decorating of the venue at the Powerboat club and I would like to encourage you to do so as opportunities to celebrate this milestone only happens once. PRESENTATION CEREMONY In the last week of term on the Thursday we will be conducting the year six presentation ceremony and all family members are invited to attend. There will be academic, sporting and effort awards to name a few. Each category will have finalists and all students will receive their completion certificate. The ceremony will finish with the traditional PowerPoint of the history of the year six cohort's primary years. Please send in photos from your child's early and current year at school so that we can ensure every student is represented. PREP TRANSITION AND ORIENTATION FOR ENROLMENTS 2020 Our Prep transition days are up and running. In term 4, we offer 3 transition days and 1 orientation morning for children enrolling for Prep 2020. TRANSITION DAYS - OPTIONAL Transition days are 45 minute sessions in prep classrooms alongside current prep students and teachers. Caloundra State School P&C Fundraiser

Get Fit and Healthy for only $20

Caloundra F45 Gym has combined with Caloundra State School P&C to help raise money for the school. The money

raised will go towards a new data projector and sound system for the hall. To be a part of this great initiative

please read the attached flyer and follow the prompts. It only costs $20 for 12 sessions at the gym and all of the

$20 goes straight to the school. Once you have purchased a voucher you can contact the gym and organise a start

date. If every family in the school bought one voucher, the P&C could easily raise $6000. In addition, everyone

who buys a voucher goes into a draw where they could also win a 3-month membership to F45.

Get involved in recycling to raise valuable funds and support the school environment. A terrific recycling container is now on school grounds, check it out if you haven’t yet seen it. The P&C endorses the container return scheme which will see less waste and encourage better environmental practices that make a measurable difference. Check out the details on the container to learn more. The P&C has received $1000 for agreeing to this partnership and each year if school families participate there could be a similar amount go back to the P&C from the return scheme, which will all go towards important school resources for the children.
