DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, VINDHYANAGAR PROGRESS REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF august 20192020 CLASSES LKG II 7 th AUGUST 2019: Foundation day was celeberated with great pomp and show in the main wing. Primary Wing children had put up a scintillating show Patit Pavani Ganga.30 students participated in the show with perfect foot steps and expressions. The show was appreciated by one and all. 13 th AUGUST 2019: The Primary Wing children had put a special assembly to celeberate Independance Day. The children had put up a wonderful programme with perfect synchronization and there was patriotic fervour in every programme presented by them. Our Principal Sir Dr. Janardan Pandey was gracious enough to witness the assembly and he appreciated the efforts made by the teachers and students as well. The day ended with the distribution of sweet packets sponsored by NTPC Vindhyachal.

CLASSES LKG – II

7th AUGUST 2019: Foundation day was celeberated with great pomp and show in the main wing. Primary Wing

children had put up a scintillating show – “Patit Pavani Ganga.” 30 students participated in

the show with perfect foot steps and expressions. The show was appreciated by one and all.

13th AUGUST 2019: The Primary Wing children had put a special assembly to celeberate Independance Day. The

children had put up a wonderful programme with perfect synchronization and there was

patriotic fervour in every programme presented by them. The programme was based on

patriotic songs of yester years. Our Principal Sir Dr. Janardan Pandey was gracious enough to

witness the assembly and he appreciated the efforts made by the teachers and students as

well. The day ended with the distribution of sweet packets sponsored by NTPC Vindhyachal.

14thAUGUST 2019: Raksha Bandhan wsas celeberated in Primary Wing with gaiety and enthusiasm to inculcate

healthy relation amongst all in school, which is indeed a home away from home. All the girls

had brought beautiful Rakhis for the boys and the boys in return gifted them chocolates.

The celeberation commenced by tying of Rakhi around a tree by children with a promise that

they would protect the environment.

Hindi Calligraphy competition was held ,all the students participated with rejuvenated

enthusiasm and displayed their writing skills.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH A new activity corner has been developed which has become the centre of attraction for the

little ones.

HINDI Enactment of the story-“The grapes are sour.” The children rejoiced doing the activity and

also learnt the moral – ‘Hardwork is the key to success.’

The children had fun making spellings by using the right beginning blends to complete the

words,

HINDI The children enthusiastically made spellings of ‘ E’ ki matra and ‘Badi E’ ki matra with the

help of Matra Wheel.

CLASSES III TO V 2nd August, 2019: On 2nd August, 2019 a wonderful assembly on the topic ‘Friendship Day’ was

presented by class V- B. It was mesmerizing and fabulous assembly. The students

pour out their hearts with motivational thought, inspiring speech, poem, dance, skit. It

was praised by one and all present in the school auditorium.

15th August, 2019 : Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp and show in the school. The

National Flag was hoisted by Principal Sir and then speeches were given by the

students and teachers in English, Hindi and Sanskrit. The Principal briefed the school

about the importance of Independence Day. The students also presented a wonderful

cultural programme at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium, Vindhyanagar.

17th August, 2019 : On 17th August, 2019 I/H Talent Show Competition was organized . The students gave

their best and earned a lot of appreciation for themselves by presenting magic tricks,

singing a song, playing a musical instrument, showing acting skills and dance, etc. The

30th August, 2019: On 30th August, 2019, A wonderful and mesmerizing assembly was presented by

class IV D on the topic National Sports Day which was on 29th August, 2019. Major

Dhyanchand was remembered. The students briefed about his contribution for the

country. The students gave fabulous speeches, presented a wonderful skit, song,

poem, etc. It was well thought, beautifully conducted and quite confidently presented

by the students. All the students, parents and the Principal appreciated the assembly

and praised the students for putting their 100% effort for the same.

31st August, 2019: On 31st August, 2019, I/H Yoga Competition for the girls of classes III-V was

conducted. The students presented various ASANAS and exhibited the same to the

REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST 2019. VI to VIII

4TH AUG. ’19 - MEDHA PRATIYOGITA(NTPC) NTPC (V) organized Medha Pratiyogita on 4th Aug, ’19 and enthusiasts of our school

participated in the written round and went through a tough competition with the schools

present there.It was a thrilling experience for them.

7th AUG ‘19 -- 34th FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATION ( DPSV ) Amidst the august gathering, the school celebrated its 34th FOUNDATION DAY with

much pomp and show. The galaxy of dignitaries present and parents enjoyed the enthralling

presentations, an amazing journey of DPSV through PPT and an hour of felicitation

ceremony of winners , rank holders, teachers for their dedicated service for ten and thirty

years etc. Overall, it was a fabulous day for DPS FAMILY and was extremely appreciated

by all present.The new Executive Director(NTPC)V was full of appreciation for the entire

programme.

13th AUG’19- HANDWRITING OLYMPIAD Approximately 120 studentts took part in HANDWRITING COMPETITION that was

held.Many have brought accolades to school in this competition in the previous

year.Assuredly, a good result is expected.

15th AUG ‘19 -- INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

As usual August rains tried to hold back Indians from celebrating 73rd INDEPENDENCE

DAY but we here dared to celebrate it with extreme solidarity and the essence of the

unfurled flag evoked patriotic feelings . After a short programme at school ,students

reported at AMBEDHKAR STADIUM fo r the spectacular presentation of field display , the

theme of which included the auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan.It was praiseworthy.

19th AUG ‘ 19 -- SWACHHTA PLEDGE. The entire school took a pledge to keep its surroundings clean and green It was a move by

Swachhta team to bring about awareness of cleanliness of one self, school and its

surroundings.

PAINTING COMPETITION CONDUCTED BY NTPC VINDHYACHAL. Exotic paintings were made by enthusiasts of DPSV in the competition organized on

Swacchta. The painters anticipate the results which are due for this month.

20th AUG ‘ 19 SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ( RAVI HOUSE ) Students of this House presented an enriching assembly on the topic “Eduction”.The

speeches,quiz,ppt etc. held the attention of the students .There was yet more inspiring

messages that were presented which were factual for the students.

24th AUG.’19- INTER-HOUSE YOGA COMPETITION (BOYS) Competitors of all Houses exposed their skill in Yoga Presentation and their composed forms

of yoga were worth watching. Contestants of each house seemed better than the other,

judging was a difficult task.

27th AUG.’19- SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON MATHEMATICS Once again the morning assembly caught the attention of the students as it was based on one

of the most interesting subjects.Presentations like speeches. quiz, mind blogging questions ,

facts all were enriching and the entire assembly the audience kept calculating as the questions

were both tough and easy.

29th AUG’19- FIT INDIA SPEECH BY OUR HONOURABLE PRIME MINISTER The school allowed students to view the FIT INDIA PROGRAMME aired live.The students

attentively watched the entire presentation and the speech by Shri Modi ji our Prime Minister,

and a session was held immediately after it by our respected Principal Sir to discuss more

about fitness and importance of sports.

AUGUST MONTH PLANTATION DRIVE Plantation has almost become an integral part of DPS(V).It being August the work could be

done quite smoothly .Students continue bringing plants and plant in the school premises.

CBSE EXPRESSION SERIES AND ISRO ON COMPETITION Enthusiasts of our school participated in both the above competitions and were thrilled being

a part of it.ISRO quiz competition ,they said was a very interesting and it boosted their

morale too, for having faced it online.

4.8.19 - 8.8.19 - Badminton Tournament District Badminton Association, Singrauli, had organized District Badminton Tournament at

Vewa Club, NTPC, Vindhyanagar, in which 6 Dipsites were selected for state level as

Singrauli's District Team.

7.8.19 - Foundation Day Delhi Public School Vindhyanagar's 34th Foundation Day was celebrated on 7th August. Shri

Sen, Executive Director, NTPC, Vindhyachal graced the day as the Chief Guest of the

celebration. Madam karobi sen , the President Suhasini Sangh, marked her benign presence as

the Guest of Honour. In the midst of distinguished guests, parents and students, the

celebration took place with all its grandeur. Primary wing of the school stole the show with

its radha krishan group dance. 'Where there is will there is way', with this theme, Saint Mira

Bai's journey from her childhood to Lord Krishna's devotion was showcased through a dance

drama by the students of classes 6 to 8 . Approaching 15 th August was also tributed with a

dance fusion by the senior students. Long service award for 10 & and 30 years was also given

to teaching & non teaching staff.

12.8.19 - M. P tourism Quiz Competition On behalf of M. P tourism, a quiz competition was conducted in which 100 schools

participated. DPS Vindhyanagar stood first and ensured its participation for state level. The

school team was comprised of : Abhisar singh and Prabhanshu were of class 10 while

Awadhesh Mahapatra was from class 9

15 th August - Independence Day The school conducted a morning Assembly in which Hon'ble Principal hoisted the flag ,

followed by speeches by students, teachers and final address was done by the Principal.

At Ambedkar Stadium, in NTPC celebration of Independence , school performed a field

display. It's neatly crafted moves earned most of the accolades.

17.8.19 - Ad-Mad Show I/H 'Ad Mad Show' competition was conducted in which the theme 'Reforms' was taken up

by all the six houses. The result of the competition is as follows :

First rank - Chenab house

Second rank - Ravi house They were declared as Winner and Runner House.

The performances we're 5 judged by :

Mrs. Tina Bhattacharya, Mrs. Geetanjali Rai and Mrs. Rashmi Bharti.

20.8.19 - Special Assembly Ravi House presented it's special Assembly with participation ....

House master, deputy house master, tutor and house appointees actively participated in the

Assembly.

24.8.19 -Talent Show I/H Talent Show was conducted to provide a platform to all the passionate participants. The

results were as following :

First rank - Bible Soni class 12 , Ravi House & Bhagwat Jha, class 12, Yamuna House

Second rank - Srijani Bannerjee, class - 10 A, Ganges House

3rd rank was grabbed by Kavita Singh, class- 11th B, Ravi House

27.8.19 : Special Assembly Maths Department conducted a special Assembly wherein the practical implications of

mathematics were illustrated.

31.8.19 - I/H Football Tournament In Interhouse football tournament, all the six houses participated with best of their

footballers. The result of the match was as follow : Satluj House stood winner & Ganges

House runner.
