POST OFFICE VISIT Class I-II students visited the post office in Kavi Nagar to enhance their learning they met postmen in proper uniform and also posted the letters in letter boxes. They were also told about the various procedures in the post office.

DUSSHERRA CELEBRATIONS Upholding the value of secularism, Dusshera and Muharram were celebrated with gaiety and religious fervor. A special assembly was organized and effigies of the Demon King Ravana symbolizing evil along with his son Meghnath and brother Kumbhkarna were set alight by the Head of School Mrs. Anita Sethi assisted by student leaders of the student council. Students also highlighted the importance of celebrating Muharram and Durga Puja through poetry and speeches.

PEACE ASSEMBLY The birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri was celebrated with a special Peace Assembly highlighting the teachings of the great leaders who laid down their lives for the cause of Peace and Humanity. The students presented bhajans, and role plays showcasing important events from the life of the leaders. An Inter Class Bhajan Competition for class IV -V was also organized on the occasion. Class IV Daisy bagged the first prize in class IV and class V Lotus bagged first in class V.

   BLOOD DONATION CAMP The Community Connect Club in association with Rotary Club, Noida organized a very successful blood donation camp in the school premises. The parent and staff of the school donated blood with compassion for the humanitarian cause. Students were also present as volunteers to do their bit for the noble cause.

HINDI RHYME COMPETITION

A Hindi Recitation Competition was organized

in Pre-Nur-Prep on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. In

Pre-Nur-Nur the 1st prize was won by Bhavya and Akaiyshaa, the 2nd position was bagged by

Pavitr and the 3rd prize was won by Arham. In Prep, 1st prize

was won by Jocelyn Ameera, Veer won the 2nd prize and

Vanshika bagged the 3rd prize.

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS Diwali was celebrated with a special assembly and street play highlighting the plight of child labourers in cracker industry. The students highlighted the significance of the five day festival and the need to celebrate a Eco Friendly Diwali. The junior students participated in card making class activities and an Anti-Cracker Rally.

Spray Painting Competition Class Pre-Nur-Prep participated in a Spray Painting Competition. They used tooth brushes and cut-outs in various shapes to make their cards. In Pre-Nur-Nur Ist prize was won by Bhavya and Gaurang & Pavitr and Akaiyshaa bagged the second prize. In Prep class, 1st prize was won by Zunairah Imran Saifi, Zaara Baig won the 2nd prize and Kavin Shishodia bagged the 3rd prize.

Candle Holder Making Students of class II were guided to make candle holders out of old glass bangles. They learnt to reuse old bangles and make beautiful candle holders which they could use for Diwali. They also made and decorated card for Diwali.

Report on the workshop held at DLF School on 12. 09. 2016 DLF Public school organized a workshop for the English teachers on Facilitating Participatory Learning Environments through Reverse Planning. Ms. Tuhina Mitra, Ms. Deepti Sinha, Ms. Nitu Agarwal and Ms. Shivapriya Sharma, from DPSG International attended the workshop which was facilitated by Ms. Bhawna Mishra Ganguly and Mr. Kalpesh.

NAMASTE DEUTSCHLAND FEST: "NAMASTE DEUTSCHLAND INTER SCHOOL GERMAN LANGUAGE FESTIVAL -2016" organised at DPS Vasant Kunj in association with GIMMB. Students participated in a workshop and also saw a movie "Rico, Oskar und Tieferschatten. Our students also participated in "Graffiti" Competition" won the 1st Position. Deepali Middha and Yagya Gupta of IX A and Chirag Aggarwal of VIII B received a gift voucher of Rs.1000 along with the certificates.

 

   PRATAPGARH FARMS Students of classes VI – VIII enjoyed a fun-filled at the Pratapgarh Farms where they got a taste of rural life and activities. Mud bath, camel and cart rides, puppet shows, gilli-danda, etc. were some activities which charmed the students.

JIM CORBETT RAMGARH Class IX – XII went on a three day trip to Jim Corbett Park Ramgarh. They enjoyed adventure activities Flying-Fox, Jeep Safari, Village Walk, River Crossing etc. and came back recharged to attack their academics with renewed gusto.

ROLE PLAY A Role play competition was conducted in class 2 on the Theme – “How we express ourselves”. The children came dressed as communicative devices and explained the uses of various communication devices. II D II L 1st Position Swanika Aarsh

   SNOWHITE and THE SEVEN DWARFS – A MUSICAL PRESENTATION Snowhite and the seven dwarfs came alive on stage through a lively presentation by the students of classes Pre-Nur – V. The musical presentation with beautiful costumes and lively music and dance had the parents and guests captivated as the tiny tots moved in tune to the beats. The occasion was graced by the Mayor of Ghaziabad Mr. Ashu Verma. The Vice Chairman of DPSG Society and the chairman of DPSG International Mr. Anshul Pathak was also present to laud the students’ efforts.  

NGO VISIT The students began their Diwali celebrations with the spirit of sharing. Students collected food packets, clothes and toys and visited Asha Vidyalaya, a school for special children and shared gifts and toys with them and spent time understanding the challenges they face in completing their day to day tasks.

Crown Making Pre-Nur-Prep celebrated diwali by making crowns as take aways.

POETRY RECITATION COMPETITION English Recitation Competition was also held for class I in which Advika bagged the 1st position and 2nd position was shared by Mudita and Saanvi. Third position was also shared by

   SCHOOL EXPO

The school participated in the School expo organized by Dainik Jagran in an effort to make available to the parents all admission related information of the best schools of the region in one place. The school students presented cultural programmes and many hands on activities were also organized for the children and parents visiting the stalls.

CNDP PEACE ASSEMBLY Our students participated in the CNDP Peace Assembly organized at the DPSG Meerut Road.

PAINTING COMPETITION

An Inter Class Painting Competition was organized on water conservation for classes VI- VIII. The students made posters and paintings on the Theme “Save Water Save Life”.

COMPUFEST Our students participated in Compufest held at Seth Anadram Jaipuria school. Bhavy Goel and Vasu Agarwal of class XB bagged the third position in Moving Making Competition.

JUNIOR INTER HOUSE CRICKET TOURNAMANET A memorable Inter House Cricket Tournament was played between the junior cricket teams. The finals of the tournament were played between Yamuna and Ganga House and the latter lifted the Champions trophy along with the ‘Man of the Match award which was bagged by Harshit Daksh.

UP STATE TEAM

9 students of our school represented the UP state team in the 7 A Side Soccer National Championships held at Sanskar School Jaipur and secured the 3rd position. The participants were Tanmay Jain Akul Sharma and Arjun of class VI, Harris Choudhary of class VII and Mayank Tyagi, Vansh Sharma, Pratham Singhal Yash Sharma and Ayush Raj (captain) of class IX.

ITS WHIZ QUIZ Ayush Singh of class XII S and Saumya Gaur of XI S bagged 1st and 2nd positions respectively in the 1st round of the Whiz Quiz 2016 held at ITS College Mohan Nagar.

Career Counselling Workshops Workshops for students of classes XI and XII was organized by B.M.L. Munjal University and O.P. Jindal Universities about different courses offered at the universities. The activity based session highlighted the importance of “Out of the box thinking”.
