So by perceiving the essence of the above said line. Delhi Public School, Firozabad has always focused on
extending opportunities for standard education to the students so that they can tap best potential lying within
them. For such valuable experiences, a holistic learning programme integrated with fun had been designed by
the school at the end of the academic year of the students of Prep Wing. Various activities were organized for
the tiny tots to realize and perceive the value of fun in their life. The students were engaged in many interactive
and interesting group activities from sharing meal, tapping their feet on music, participating in sports activities
to playing with colors and watching movies. The day was fully enjoyed by the students and it was quite visible
from their radiant and smiling faces.
Report on Mahavira Jayanti Objective: To make the students aware of Lord Mahavira Jayanti.
A special assembly on Mahavira Jayanti was conducted by class VIII A . The assembly set in with the morning
prayer which is followed by thought for the day and news headlines. A poem recitation and article reading on
Mahavira Jayanti were also the part of the assembly. To a very special mention, a success story of CAROLY,
GREAT ATHLETE was beautifully presented by Vinay Chauhan, a student of Class VIII. The story narration
was so inspiring that it changed the whole ambience. Ms. Zoya Khan delivered the Teacher‟s Talk on “WORLD
HERITAGE DAY”. The assembly came to an end with a note of appreciation of class VIII by the Principal Sir
Dr. Gaurav Dubey which is followed by national anthem.
Report on “A day trip to Water treatment plant”
Students at DPS, Firozabad are often exposed to a variety of activities and field visits, in order to enhance their
hands-on learning experience. Our limits and relentless endeavor has always been to provide an invigorating
ambiance of cultural ethos so that at tender age, innocent minds are cradled to become good human beings.
Keeping this in mind pre-primary and grade U.K.G,I and II students of the campus were taken to a water
treatment plant on Friday, 19th April, 2019. The main purpose of the visit was to sensitize them towards their
environment. Students visited the facility to see how the plant filters its water so residents in the community can
safely use the water in their everyday life. Students were able to see the various stages and tanks water must go
through before it can be safely used by residents. Throughout the facility, students saw pools of water both
indoors and outdoors and saw how the water became cleaner and clearer throughout the purification process.
In addition, a model filter was displayed and the personnel who were leading the tour explained how each
section of the filter helped clean the water to prepare it to be consumed. The students learned to imbibe
invaluable insights into life from the environment around them. Exuberance and gratitude radiated from their
face as they thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
Report on Ram Navmi Something magical happens when you are completely HONEST WITH YOURSELF and when that happens no
one else can ever hurt you again. a special assembly on Ram Navami was conducted by the students of class I.
it began with the morning prayer followed by the thought for the day shaved by Vansh Gupta and compering
was done by Anushka Pathror. The news rendering was done by Ikleen Kaur. A group dance was also presented
by the students which attracted the attentions of audience which reinforced the message that “Good always
triumphs over evil.” While high lightening the importance of this festival, principal sir wished the student‟s by
inspiring them to follow the path of then the assembly was conducted by the National Anthem.
Report on Veggie Parade
Participants- Class Nur & LKG
With an objective to create and educate children about the importance and consumption of fruits and vegetables
in regular diet, DPS Firozabad organized a „Veggie Parade „ competition for the youngsters from class L.K.G
and Nursery . One more objective of the competition was to bring out the hidden talent of the little stars of
kindergarten and give them a platform to build their self-confidence and explore their inner strength.
It is said that play activity and imitating comes naturally to children. This was proved by the tiny tots with all
innocence and cuteness Children were smartly dressed in costumes of apples, mangoes, strawberry, Brinjal
Lady Finger, Potato, chilly, Tomato , Pumpkin, Cauliflower and many more and participated with enthusiasm
and enthralled everybody with their endearing acts. The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the
parents followed by the ceremonial lightening of the lamp .Principal Sir Welcomed the parents and every one
and explained the importance of the event. He congratulated the participants and appreciated the efforts of
teachers as well as parents for building up the confidence of children with the help of such activities.
Children with teachers sang the fruit and vegetable rhyme with great zest, enthusiasm and vigor, All enjoyed
the moments of joy and happiness on this special day.
Report National Heroes
CLASS PERFORMED – UKG
“Heroes are ordinary people , Who make themselves extraordinary”
Role playing is one of the most important tool of learning particularly at the Primary and Pre primary level and
hero worship is a thing which carve the whole personality of the child .Today at DPS Firozabad students of
UKG participated in the event -NATIONAL HEROES.Program started with the traditional Lamp
Lightning.After that the welcome speech was followed by a dazzling fancy dress competition where the tiny tots
of UKG class showcased their talent cheerfully. Children enacted the roles of famous personalities such as
Prime Minister Narinder Modi, Jhansi ki Rani, Netaji, Shaheed Bhagat Singh to name a few. Children were
smartly dressed and participated with much enthusiasm and enthralled everybody with their endearing acts.
At the end All the winners awarded with the certificates as a token of appreciation for their outstanding
performances.
Report on story telling competition
A wise man once said, “After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the
world.” It‟s the stories that give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of our
physical world and into the land of fairies, dragons and wishing trees. It is in our imagination that we embrace
things and situations that we shy away from real world. Since time immemorial, story telling has been an
integral part of our childhood. To keep the tradition going and to incite curiosity and the love for reading in
children, a story telling competition was held on April 29,2019 for class I students. The young, enthusiastic
storytellers armed with their props came forth with wonderful tales. While some stories gave the audience food
for thought and some reinforced moral values. The stories were adjudged on the basis of expression, confidence
and presentation skills of the children. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. The little story tellers
won everyone`s heart and were applauded.
Report on Epic Enactment competition Delhi Public School, Firozabad does not only put its heart and soul to rise the knowledge of its kids through its
unique technique of teaching but they also brings out the healthy spirit of competition in the kids by organizing
wonderful creative events as well. Children have an innate love for stories. Keeping this in mind, a epic
enactment competition was organized for grade II learners on 30th April, 2019.The participant displayed their
talent in the role of the character they represented through their speech and costumes. The children had chosen
different roles such as Durga, Sita, Ram, Hanuman etc. which was then enacted and expressed in a very
confident way. The young ones showcased their talents and performed their characters through their
remarkable gestures, actions and dialogues. All the children participated enthusiastically. The competition
inspired the children to think, work and enact creatively and promoted artistic excellence and made the event
most enjoyable for one and all.
Induction programme organized by DPSS
Dr. Gaurav Dubey Principal DPS Firozabad attended an Induction progeamme of principals organized by
DPSS at DPS Mathura road, New Delhi on April 23, 2019. He also presented a PPT on 3rd
day in 2nd
session
about induction programme of principals is beneficial for all new principals and shared his experiences and
views to establish new school and what are challenges, how to address these issues. Overall it was a great
experience to attend the workshop.
