What is a Nonprofit organization?A corporation/organization that is organized to advance public or community interest rather than for individual personal or financial gain.

In other words

A nonprofit is a corporation just like any other corporation, with the same needs for goods & services of any public or private corporation.

Over 1.5 million nonprofits registered with IRS in 2008

These 1.5 million nonprofits had revenues of 1.92 trillion dollars

They also reported 4.3 trillion dollars in assets
