    phone calls, emails, home visits, and spouse socials. We keep our

    spouses informed of resources for deployed families, monthly Squadron

    events, TCCOR notifications, and Base happenings. Caring for the

    families on the home front is our focus!

    Ive been an Air Force Spouse for three years.

    I have a beautiful baby girl who is just reached her first birthday.

    My hometown is Melbourne Beach, Florida.

    One of my favorite places to go here in Oki is the sushi place inAmerican Village (we go there so much they even named a roll

    after us! The Spears roll)!

    My least favorite thing to do here in Oki is to grocery shop at thecommissary! That place can be a zoo at times!

    We received the following earlier from the office of the OkinawaArea Coordinator regarding alcohol sales and usage onOkinawa. Contact your chain of command if you havequestions or concerns on your individual restrictions.

    Drinking or purchasing alcohol off-base is prohibited for allservice members on Okinawa.

    On base alcohol sales will cease at 2200 (10pm) each night,which includes clubs and shoppettes.

    Drivers departing base could be subject to breathalyzers.Passengers and pedestrians will also be subject to sobrietytests. A driver with a BAC of .03 will not leave base. Apassenger or pedestrian under the influence will only beallowed to leave base in order to go straight home.

    Spouses of a deployed member are authorized a FREE oil change through apreventive maintenance program sponsored by the Air Force Aid Society. Totake advantage of this program, stop by the A&FRC with a copy of the

    deployment orders.

    You can get 5 free hours of childcare. Give Parents a Break is held everymonth in conjunction with the Deployed Spouses Dinner. Bring a copy of yourspouses orders to the A&FRC to get your voucher.

    Families of deployed members are invited to eat at the Marshall DiningFacility every other Wednesday? Pay as you go for food and a special room isset aside for families to spend time together, eat and relax. Check us out onthe 5th and 19th of Dec at 5 pm.

    This year, the 18th SFS would like to honorour deployed kiddos with a Christmas gift.

    If you would like your child to receive a giftfrom the Squadron, please reply to thisemail as soon as possible with your child'sage and gender. No names are needed,
