Trysumers (l’esperienza e i media permettono di
provare tutto e condividere i risultati..)
Peekers (“Web on a drop”, cercano e basta..)

conoscenza… Le persone vogliono essere trattate,
ciascuno di loro, come un Uno. Certo,
non tutti possono permettersi quel tipo di
trattamento…
Inoltre, secondo la predizione
“warholiana”, tutti vogliono lasciare
qualcosa a “memento”, in un qualche
formato mediatico..
Essere indiscutibilmente “me” ed
appartenere ad una massa suggeriscono la
necessità di una forte “Web dexterity” da
parte di chiunque…

• 71% of people “make it a point to buy brands from companies whose values are similar to my own.” (Source: Young & Rubicam, August 2010)
• In 2006, ‘strong financial performance’ was the third most important factor for US consumers in determining corporate reputation. By 2010, financial returns had fallen to the bottom of Edelman’s rankings, while ‘transparent and honest practices’ and ‘company I can trust’ were the two most important. (Source: Edelman Trust Barometer, 2010)
• 87% of UK consumers expect companies to consider societal interests equal to business interests, while 78% of Indian, 77% of Chinese and 80% of Brazilian consumers prefer brands that support good causes. (Source: Edelman, November 2010)

“social networkers have different intrinsic
reasons why and how they use their networks. They won’t
change those to fit your organization, so the key is to
understand these differences and align your initiatives to
them.” Gallup, Settembre 2011
L’arte di fare salotto
Strategic Marketing 9
• Mentre sempre più brand
inglobano i vari social media nei
loro sforzi di marketing online, i
marketer cercano di
comprendere meglio gli impatti
che i vari programmi possono
avere.
• Un’energia significativa e grandi
sforzi si sono focalizzati su
quest’area in modo da calibrare
meglio i programmi , sfruttare e
massimizzare le conversazioni
on line, che sono al cuore dei
social media!!

More than 80% of the 249
posts in this discussion—
which was started over a
year ago and was last
posted on September
10th, 2011—were
negative feedback about
and to Coca-Cola, and
still today nothing has
been done by the
company or its employees
to fix it.
Coca-Cola, like most other companies today, need to stop filling their ego with
number-driven strategies and start listening to individual consumers through
the ears of individual employees that will take the time to respond and engage
in conversation.

5 Ragionevoli Regole
Strategic Marketing 19
• Chi «controlla» i social network in azienda?
aziendale
strategist, community manager, customer advocate, agenzie….)

• Jim Farley, Ford Global Marketing Manager:
– We have some very interesting launches coming up, like the
global Ranger pickup launch. For these vehicles and a few
others that I can't talk about, we have learned that starting
early using social media is OK. You don't have to start a month
before you wholesale a vehicle. You can allocate budget as long
as you're smart and you activate the people that are interested
in the newest products.
– I think mobile and video together is becoming a bigger part of
how we bring the product story to life in customers' hands.

doubled since 2010. Those prestige
brands with online selling

points higher than those without
online sales.

maintain a presence on this
platform.
• Mobile Incompatibility: Two-thirds of
China's 485 million Internet users
access the web via their mobile

One of the things Audi does right is using as many social media outlets as possible – it maintains a presence on six different social media sites

Strategic Marketing 25
How can you tell you're actually succeeding
in digital marketing?
“There's a lot of metrics that brands put out
there in terms of success metrics. We
certainly look at the basics of followers and
follow growth, but we know that it's more
than just a popularity contest. You might
have 500,000 followers, but if none of those
500,000 followers are engaging or
responding to your posts, then you're not
really talking to anybody.”
Pinkberry’s Director of Digital, Pamela Naumes

Vive e prospera in modalità transmedia
