Bus Snow Routes Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow…..
Snow routes are school bus routes that have been altered to avoid potentially hazardous hills, intersections, turn-around locations, and less than ideal conditions at bus stops due to inclement weather. In the event we call for snow routes, we would ask that all students be taken to the designated snow route stop for your school bus where the bus will wait for several minutes. Please plan to arrive on time to meet the bus during the morning and afternoon snow route. In the event the road conditions improve for the afternoon route, another parent alert notification will be sent notifying you the buses will be dropping off at each home for the afternoon route. Otherwise, plan on snow routes in the afternoon. We encourage you to continue to call your child’s school bus driver directly to notify them of any concern associated with the bus stop in all weather conditions. 2-Hour Delayed Start Option: On the rare occasion that weather conditions merit a 2-hour delayed start, the district will announce it via Alert Now and the local television stations. Please listen closely to your Alert Now messages.

Thank you for all of your donations. Together we made a big dif-
ference for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Our kids can be
proud of how many cancer patients they will be helping. We are
proud to be part of such a caring community.
Classroom Lessons: 4th grade ended the month with a review of all 8 Habits of Happy Kids. We will
be playing a jeopardy game in December to see how well students remember all
of our fall semester lessons. A letter about the habits was sent home with stu-
dents the week of November 27th. I hope students took the time to share with
their caregivers what we have learned so far! We will start our good citizenship
program with Sheriff Cole in the spring based on these habits along with a unit
on bullying.
5th grade students ended the month searching for their dream career(s) on the
Missouri Connections website. This semester students have also explored their
unique personality strengths and stressors. They looked at how those unique
traits affect how we respond and treat others. They discussed educational op-
portunities that are available in future grades as well as researched many ca-
reers using Missouri Connections. They also took a career cluster inventory that
helped rate possible careers in comparison to each student’s likes and dislikes. I
hope you take the opportunity to visit this website. Their user names and pass-
words will work throughout their lifetime!
