Regular School Hours Resume Come and celebrate the holiday season at Christmas in the Park, This Saturday, December 6th! Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. (line-up at 8:30 a.m.) Students (accompanied by an adult) are welcome to join our Snow Shovel Brigade in the parade while they dance and spread their holiday cheer. If you would like to join us, line up, look for the Fort Stevens group, we are Entry #47. The winners of the Christmas in the Park essay contest will be honored in Yelm City Park immediately following the parade. 6th Grade Band will perform at 11:00 and 4th Graders will be performing under the direction of our fabulous Music Teacher, Mrs. Chantal Hollatschek at 2:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you! Cooperate Act Safely Respect Everyone Excel Help your child dress for success…students concentrate better in class when warm and dry. Please be sure your student brings a coat, gloves and proper shoes as it is very cold and wet outside at recess. Please put your student’s name in all outerwear so we can return it to them if it is found! Don’t forget to be a bucket filler at school and at home! Gingerbread Decorating Contest At Christmas in the Park

Bring a decorated gingerbread cookie or house to the Gingerbread Booth!

· All entries must be received by 11:00 a.m. · Judging will take place at 12:00 noon · Winners will be announced at 1:00 p.m. & photos taken · Pick up your cookies or houses starting at 2:00 p.m. Those not picked up will be given away at closing.

· Age Categories: Preschool thru Kindergarten; First thru Third Grades; Fourth thru Sixth Grades;

Seventh thru Twelfth Grades Remember! Everything at Christmas in the Park is free

– hot dogs, drinks, photos with Santa, And entertainment.

DID YOU KNOW??? Impact Aide Federal Survey forms were sent home last

week. This information is very important as it benefits ALL students in our

school. Yelm Community Schools is eligible to receive Impact Aid funds under

Public Law 81-874 because we have students whose parents are: *On active duty * Civilians

working on Federal property; or *Living or working on tribal lands. Public Law 81-874 provides

funds to replace taxes not received by the school district when parents live and/or work on

Federal property including tribal lands. These funds are used for general educational programs

for all students. Information received is strictly confidential.

Please return your form by December 18th. Thank you for your assistance with this very important matter!
