DANCING in the East Room . The President was seen dancin g w / Lady Harlech,Mrs. Johnson, and Dorese Bell. Mary Virginia Busb y reported tha t the Presidentdidn't seem to do much dancing . Much o f th e time was spen t in huddles w/the Prime Minister an d various third parties. . . .like David Dubinsky. The Presi-dent spent the time ushering Mr . Wilson around th e roo m and meeting thensort of privately in a huddle w/ various people. She said that she hadattended the Stat e Dinne r fo r Lord Hume, and commented tha t thi s on ewas a warm friendl y evening, a good mixed group , and a group that was mor erelaxed and gregarious than the one attendin g th e Lord Hume dinner

The President went to the second floor, followed a t 12:00 midnight by Mrs. JohnsonHe was accompanied by M Lynda Bird Johnso n TCXX and was heard to quip as h e ledher u p the stairs, "Lynda likes to stay unti l the last Marine is down."Retired
