Main Street -or- Chelsea Kidz Stop, 114 N. Main Street. Drop off new, unwrapped toys for tots and teens to be distributed by Faith in Action to local children. Merchant Events & Activities There are numerous activities, presentations and holiday specials going on all weekend at participating merchants. This annual recreation of the holiday’s traditions includes tours of the ten-room farmhouse, the authentic log house, eight outbuildings, and the one-room Dewey School. Hand-crafted greens, homemade baked goods, and gift items will be available for purchase. Free refreshments and live music will be among the offerings for this homespun weekend. The Nutcracker Saturday, Dec. 6 at 2pm & 7pm; Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2pm @ Chelsea High School, 740 N. Freerer Road. SugarPlum Tea on Sunday prior to matinee performance. All The Trimmings Artisan’s Holiday Show10am – 4pm @ the Chelsea Fairgrounds service building, corner of Old US-12 and Old Manchester Road.A wonderful artisans’ show featuring unique local talent – woodcarvings, bears, counted cross-stitch, pastels, tiles, folk paintings, textiles, jewelry, antiques and collectibles, rug hooking, punch needle, stained glass, photography, bread boards and fresh Christmas greens. Free refreshments, free admission, and free parking.

10th Annual Chelsea Light Parade6pm, along Main Street (street closed to thru traffic during the parade).10th annual parade featuring dozens of lighted floats and vehicles, marching bands, and the big guy himself, Santa! Parade starts at Chelsea State Bank’s south-end lot and ends at the Chelsea Teddy Bear Company for the free community afterglow party with refreshments.

Visit with Santa & Santa’s Workshop6:30 – 8:30pm @ The Chelsea Historic Depot, 125 Jackson Street. Bring your camera and take a photo with Santa and make gifts in his workshop. Sponsored by Chelsea Children’s Co-op Preschool.

Common Chords Concert7 – 8:30pm @ Chelsea District Library McKune Room, 221 S. Main Street. The Common Chords hand bell choir will perform a holiday concert with refreshments.

Kicking It with Candy Canes6:30 – 8:30pm @ Chelsea ATA Martial Arts, 420 N. Main Street. Martial artists will demonstrate techniques with children participation. Free candy canes.

A special holiday performance featuring Sunrise Mass by Ola Gjeilo, works for string orchestra and a Christmas Carol sing-a-long. Presented by Chelsea’s talented Chamber Players with students from the Chelsea High School Orchestra (Jed Fritzemeier, Conductor), Chelsea First United Methodist Church Choir (Kyle Webber, Conductor) and Chelsea High School Choirs (Steve Hinz, Conductor).
