Come party like it’s 1899!
This month to celebrate the joy of the Season we will be having a spin-in with a very special Holiday free make and take craft designed by Amy Pittman. So come early and make yourself a fibery gift and the stay for an evening of festive fibrous frivolity with a twist.
We will still be meeting from 6:30 to 9pm. Early birds are always welcome. As always Amy, our in-house wheel whisper and spinning instructor, will be on hand to help.
Also this month there will be space for an informal Holiday treat sharing so we can munch while we spin. Please bring your favorite seasonal treat to share. The kettle will be set up and we’ll have plenty of space spread out, visit and of course spin. So bring your wheel or spindle and join the fun.
This event is FREE, but please sign-up so Amy can make sure she brings enough supplies. No fiber tasting this month. Instead we’ll be making a special fibery gift.

Join the monthly Black Sheep Hoppy Feet Sock Club and explore top-down and toe-up socks. You will learn new cast-on, bind-off, heel, toe, and texture techniques through patterns by local designer, Kelli Slack. Rounds 1-10: K1, P1 around to create 1x1 ribbing.Round 11: Change to red yarn. K38 (40,42), PM, K3, PM, K8, PM, K3 PM, K10 (12,14) PM, K3, PM, K8, PM, K3.Round 12-20: K41, Slip marker (SM), P3, SM, K8, SM, P3, SM, K 10, SM, P3, SM, K8, SM, P3, SM, K3.Round 21: K41, SM, P3, SM, Place next 4 stitches onto a cable holder and drop forward, knit the next four stitches, slip stitches on hold back onto your needle and knit. Continue to knit one row, decrease one each side of your ‘hat tail’ until 4 stitches remain. cut a 10 inch tail and with a darning needle thread the yarn tail through the remaining stitches. Draw them tight and secure the yarn. Do not hide this yet as we will use it to secure your pom pom.
Second ‘Tail’ Pick up the stitches on hold and repeat rounds 1-fin-ish of the Decrease for ‘Tails’ section of the pattern.
