She fell in love the first night. Not on a date or at a

party—Eridania was attending an evangelistic meeting. And God’s truth struck her heart like nothing ever had.

When Eridania met the team at Country Life Institute in Dominican Republic, she was impressed by their health food store but had no idea they would change her life. Then Ydis Castillo, the president, brought her to her first evangelistic meeting. She knew immediately that she wanted to accept Jesus into her life.

Soon Eridania learned that to be baptized, she needed to make a lot of changes in her life. She was living with her boyfriend and their children, so she told him of her determination to accept Christ. When Eridania told him she wanted to marry him, he did not hesitate.

Happy for that change, Eridania tackled the next problem: her employer. She knew that God was in control and would provide for her family whatever happened. With that in mind, she approached her boss to

ask if she could have Sabbaths off. When her request was denied, Eridania decided that God was more important. She quit her job and asked to be baptized.

When they saw her faith and the difference it made in her life, Eridania’s mother and two children decided to be baptized as well. Though she is still looking for a new job, Eridania is rejoicing in her new faith and praying for her husband.

“My husband is more in love with me than ever since I accepted Jesus, and by God’s grace I am going to win him for Christ,” she says.

The Country Life team is praising God for Eridania and 50 others who have recently accepted Christ. The staff understands the urgency of spreading the good news of God’s soon return, and they are eager to let others know. p

When Rosh* heard the pounding on his door, his heart responded

with its own thumping. The police had come for him again. Usually they just questioned, beat, and released him, but there was always the chance that they would throw him in prison.

He was a law-abiding citizen and professor at a United Nations-run university; however, Rosh was high on the government’s watch-list because he was a Christian in Israel’s Gaza Strip.

When a Norwegian couple learned about Rosh, they connected him with The Turning Point Foundation in Sweden. Lars-Gustaf Larsson, foundation director, helped Rosh get a Swedish visa, but it took months for him to get past the border and out of Gaza.

Arriving in Sweden at last, he quickly proved himself to be an eager learner and a ready helper on the foundation’s farm.

Four months later, he came to Lars-Gustaf in tears. Both of his grown sons in Gaza had been taken prisoner the night before. The two men knelt down and prayed together.

The next day, Rosh came to work beaming because God had answered their prayers and freed his sons.

Rosh knew God and knew He was powerful, but he had never seen anyone serve Him like those at the Turning Point. He had also never understood the meaning of the Sabbath. Now Christians who kept the Sabbath had rescued him, and he was discovering many other new truths about the God who wanted to rescue his soul.

Rosh’s turning point came this November when he accepted God’s limitless grace and decided to begin studying for baptism. p
