Q. Is a trapping license needed for coyotes?A. No trapping licenses is needed for coyotes or for other species

legally classified as predators in Wyoming. Trapping licenses are required for all animals legally classified as furbearers regardless if the method of take is by trapping or other weapons. Furbearing animals are mink, muskrat, marten, weasel, badger, bobcat, and beaver.

In addition to coyotes, animals classified as predators include red fox, raccoon, skunk, jackrabbit and porcupines and wolf where not designated as a trophy game animal.

Q. Can I use an electronic call for hunting coyotes?A. Yes, you can. In general, electronic calls can be used for most

hunting in Wyoming, with the exception that electronic calls are not allowed for migratory game birds. But, even with migratory game birds, electronic calls are allowed to take birds during the late winter and early spring light goose season, referred to as the Light Goose Conservation Order. In 2014, the Light Goose Conservation Order will run Feb. 24-April 6.

1 cup heavy cream 2 tblsp confectioners’ sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup rum (optional) 1 pinch ground nutmeg

Luscious Eggnog

In a heavy saucepan, combine eggs, white sugar, and salt; gradually stir in milk. Stirring constantly, cook for 10 to 15 minutes over me-dium heat, until mixture just coats a metal spoon. Remove from heat, and stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Place saucepan over ice water until custard cools, and then refrigerate until chilled.In a chilled bowl, combine heavy cream, confectioners’ sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Beat until stiff peaks form. Stir in rum and yellow food coloring. Fold whipped cream mixture into the cooled custard. Pour into serving bowl, and sprinkle with nutmeg.
