Support your Parish when you shop
this Holiday Season!
Did you know that
the Parishes of St.
Andrew, St. Mary
and St. Theresa all
participate in Ama-
zon’s Smile program?
If you plan to make any purchases through Ama-
zon, please consider choosing your home parish to
have 0.5% of your purchases donated back. Email
Heather at [email protected]
for more information.
Giving Tree Gift Tags The Catholic Community of Billerica has always
opened their hearts and shared generously the
blessings they have received with their support of
the annual Giving Tree program. Parishioners are
asked to please take a tag from the Giving Trees
found at the entrances of the Church. We try to
give each child, 16 or younger, a complete outfit
along with a few of their wants and needs. All the
families that benefit from this drive live in Billerica.
Please return your gifts, unwrapped by the
December 7-8 weekend. Thank you so much
for your continued support and prayers for this important ministry.
St. Andrew Parish Christmas Fair will be held THIS

Wreath laying to follow at
Fox Hill Cemetery
The Catholic Community of Billerica will take part in Wreaths Across America, a program which honors
our veterans through the laying of remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and
the act of saying the names of each and every veteran aloud. If you would like to donate a wreath in honor
of a Veteran or would like to help place the wreaths at the cemetery, please contact Dustin Batista at
[email protected] or go to www.wreathsacrossamerica.org and select “Local Fundrais-
ing Group” and use group number “MA0084 W.L. French” to ensure the wreaths go to our town.
Altar Server of the Month Award Every month, the Knights of Columbus generously acknowledge the dedication of one of our
Altar Servers in our Collaborative. This month they congratulate Xavier Smay from St. An-
drew Parish and thank him for his faith-filled service to the Parish and the Parish Community.
Christmas Flowers in Memory of Our Loved Ones
Our parishes will begin ac-
cepting donations toward
the Christmas flowers used
to decorate our churches
throughout the Advent Sea-
son. Donations for the
Christmas Flowers can be
made in memory of a loved one to be remem-
bered at Christmas Mass. Envelopes can be found
in your monthly envelope mailings or put a regular
envelope with your donation and your loved one’s
name in our collection basket during Mass.

The message is clear on this first Sunday of Advent: “Walk in the light of
the Lord”; “Stay awake…”; “You must be prepared…”; “Put on the Lord
Jesus Christ.” The Church gives us this holy season as a time for us to re-
order our lives and our priorities. While our culture will try to distract
us from the importance of Christ’s birth, take a few minutes each day in
prayer to extend a personal invitation to Jesus to come into your life.
Your prayer will produce gratitude and your gratitude will foster hope in
the Lord.
