December News:December News:FIRESIDE COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE NOVEMBER 24TH – JANUARY 2ND!Paradise Valley Emergency Food Bank distributes much needed food to families in the PV School District attendance area. They also supply backpacks for kids in low-income PV Schools to take home on Fridays with food for the weekend. If you would like to donate food to restock their shelves during this busy holiday season, collection boxes will be set up in the community center lobby from Monday, November 24th through Friday, January 2nd. All food must be non-perishable, and requested items include peanut butter, canned fruits or vegetables, canned soup, cereal, boxes of pasta, pasta sauce, and granola bars. If you have a large amount of food that you would like to donate, please contact Caroline Mirtich at [email protected] to arrange a pick-up. Thank you for your generosity and thoughtfulness!
BOY SCOUT CHRISTMAS TREE CURBSIDE PICKUP & RECYCLINGSATURDAY JANUARY 3RD, 2015LET THE BOY SCOUTS RECYCLE YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE!
Place your tree and donation curbside by 8:00 am on Saturday January 3rd. Scouts from St. Bernadette Troop 818 will be com-ing through Desert Ridge neighborhoods Saturday to pick up and recycle your tree in cooperation with the City of Phoenix.
Place your donation in an envelope and attach it to the bottom of the tree with a rubber band. The suggested donation is $15 to $30 per tree. Please make your check payable to Troop 818 (no cash please).
Your financial support is deeply appreciated! 100% of all donations will fund BSA Troop 818 activities such as summer camp and backpacking trips. Our Scouts live in north Phoenix and Scottsdale, many right here in Desert Ridge. Your support is a critical part of providing a quality Scouting program to local youth. Thank you for your generosity
