The first annual ‘Downtown Morgantown Wreath Decorating Contest’ is happening until the ninth of December. Be sure to pick up a ballot downtown in participating stores for your chance to win several prizes. Our wreath was created by one of our employees, Deb Blackburn. It is aptly named “The Eggstrordinary Wreath”, showcasing feathers, eggs, nuts and pinecones donated to us by our local egg producers. Everything is local including the conifers that make up the wreath itself - don’t forget to vote for us!
Our cashier Marinea now sells her handmade electroformed jewelry in the store under the name Copper Talon Jewelry - stop by and check out her work!
November was quite a busy month for the Co-op! We hosted The Venerable Bean’s ‘Fall Feast’, ‘A Make Your Own Fire Cider’ class and two pop-up shops showcasing local artists and their work.
The Venerable Bean’s first annual ‘Fall Feast’ was a great success with twenty-four members of the community coming together for delicious food and lively conversation. Keep an eye out for another dinner in the New Year!
Our ‘Make Your Own Fire Cider’ class was a successful turn out as well with a total of eleven participants. Each individual took home an instruction pamphlet along with some organic ginger root to help them get started.
