Today’s ProgramDec. 21, 2016
John Pollock is the CEO of Financial Gravity Com-panies, Inc., which he says is the first national tax firm dedicated to helping small business owners reduce their personal tax liability by an average of $21,000 per year. He is a frequent contributor to various media outlets, including Fox Radio Network and Forbes, and the host
of the Financial Gravity Podcast. As an author and speaker, Pol-lock has delivered presentations to more than 500 events for small business owners and financial advisors. Pollock says in a sea of boring and outdated business advice, he is changing the conversation on how small business owners ap-proach taxes, profit and the path to growth. He said he has helped hundreds
of entrepreneurs to find legal, moral and ethical ways to lower their taxes, raise profit and create wealth. The result? His clients can finally start living their American Dream – a key reason they started their business in the first place. Pollock has a free e-book available - Bust the 10 Tax Myths Sabotaging Your Small Business Success. His website is johnpollockinc.com.

Members of the Signature Com-munity Service project committee visited the Inclusive Playground at Scottish Rite Hospital for Chil-dren last week. The hospital gave the group a presentation on the planning process and goals and then took the group outside to
experience the playground first-hand. Pictured are (L-R), Club President Bil Zeigler; Paul Nas-sauer (Richardson Parks Dept.); Drew Hayes (RERC member);
Tom Brooks (RERC); Lori Smeby (director, Richardson Parks & Rec-reation); Karen Ellis (RERC); Tom Hummel (RERC); Dana Dempsey
(director of Therapeutic Recreation, Scottish Rite); Michael Black (park
designer, La Terra Studio); Alan Gatton (Richardson Parks Dept.);
and Dan Baker (Richardson Parks).
My Last Bulletin - Adios This is my last bulletin for the club. As most of you know, I have re-signed my membership, but have asked to be granted a leave of ab-sence through June to complete my obligations to the Rotary Cares fund raiser and the kickoff of the Inclusive Park project. This will keep me “officially” affiliated with the club while I work on those projects, but I am otherwise done and my association will end in June. My work with Richardson East Rotary Club has been a highlight. I’ll remember it fondly. In fact, in thinking about this last bulletin, I ran through a small list of club accomplishments and fun, and not so fun, memories. No room or time here. Maybe I’ll send everyone an email about that. In the meantime, thanks for the many kind-nesses over the years. I hope you will invite me to your parties. - Tom Brooks
