our faith. In these moments, we are stretched to the limits of what we can do. Faith requires us to go forward when even we don’t have the answers. What does it mean to be stretched? For a small community in the Sierra Norte of Puebla, Mexico, it encom-passes investing in a piece of prop-erty to expand a church … when they don’t have the means to buy the land. Today, their church building is land-locked in the middle of four other properties, leaving them no room to grow. A small lot adjoining the property is now for sale, and if they owned this property they would have access to the road and not need permission to pass. The leaders of the church have said yes, but they have only been able to secure the funds to put a deposit on the land. This was a leap of faith—because if they don’t

raise the balance of the funds in 12 months, they could lose their deposit and the property alike. The leaders and the church came together in unity and believe that it is
within God’s will that they purchase this property. By faith they have moved, and over the next year they will be stretched by asking God, “Help me in my unbelief.”
