1. Women should be treated the same as men. Do you agree or disagree with thisstatement?

For:

-Nearly a half of the world population is women and women today can play well manyroles compared to men, from the housewife to a big CEO of a multinational company, so

they absolutely have the complete right to have any benefits and special favours as men

- It is a myth that men can do heavy jobs which women are unable, for example: earningmoney which women can also do even better than men, fixing some home furniture,

carrying heavy things and something like that which dont happen regularly in daily life.

Things that happen everyday and really exhaust people are daily housework which,

unfortunately, men dont share (in general) with women

- Without women, there are no talented men because women can bear all of men in theworld

- Underestimating womens abilities is a backward thinking which limits women andsocial development. For example, in the traditional mindset, girls should graduate

university, find a stable job and get married rather than pursue higher studying programs .

Futhermore, sometimes, it is unacceptable that wife studies higher than husband in a

family. Also, woman who is Doctor can see difficulty in finding a future husband.

- Modern women go out to work and have their individual career. They do not need tototally depend on their husband because they can be active in making money and have

financial independence. They have 8 working hours ( the same as men) in a day and then

after coming back their house, they must be responsible for all households but do not

receive any help from their husband. Traditionally, caring children and doing household

were their responsibilities in the past. However, today, it is not fair when women must be

responsible for all things while they also work. They should be treated the same as men,

that means that in households and caring children, man and woman are equal.

- Women can do whatever men can do, even better. To illustrate, i myself really lovesoccer, but the more i hoped, the more Vietnamese men football team disappointed me.

While women team had won the gold medal more than 1 time, men team had not at all.

But the financial award women were rewarded for the first ranking was less than those

for men in the same position. Therefore, it's unfair when men are still treated as the

superior.

- Do you know why the international women day is on this day? Because women have tosuffer many troubles, difficulties at their work as well as their lives, they must work dayand night and as someone said above women are known as rose, cloud...but why must

they work as a men??? Why women shouldnt be treated the same as men?

- It seems to be unfair that every year a man usually receives only a present on hisbirthday while a woman has many days, for example, Valentine day, the International

Women day, the Vietnamese Women day and Christmas day, to expect for a gift.

On the other hand, although women are accepted to serve in such career as soldiers, their

male counterparts still overwhelm in the army due to the harsh working conditions as

well as physical requirements.

Overall, men and women should be treated equally at a certain degree, it should not be

exactly fifty-fifty as each gender play different part in the society that make life various

and harmonious

- Men and woman should be treated equally but not the same. Male and female are twoparts of the world, they have some differences about strength, appearance, the way of

thinking, ..etc due to their physical structure. For instance, if we forced female students to

do exactly the same exercises in physical education like male students, it would be

treated the same, but not equal because of difference in strength in two sex.

- There are always differences in the way we treat people. The reason will base on thebehavior and characteristic, not gender. If you think men need to do housework, whymost of you scream and give so much compliments (no offence) when your oppa can

cook a meal or wash a dishes? Another example given, on the bus or train, people,

especially young people can happily stand up and give up their seat to children, elderly

people or people with serious condition such as pregnancy or disability.Then, let me ask

you a tricky question, if there are pregnant women and pregnant men, who do you will

give up your seat to

- Doing housework is a marriage problem rather than treatment. If the wife want to saysomething,she should stand up and shout it in front of her man. If beaten, do not cry for

right because that the way men usually treat each other."When the words are powerless,

the fist will speak". Instead of crying, try to attend some martial art class and plan forrevenge.

- If women can do all of the things as men can do, why they need to demand the sametreatment? Have you ever known or heard a woman named Margaret Thatcher (or you

may know her as the iron lady). She fought for her own right to be a politician without

giving up. She never demanded fair treatment from anyone because she knew there

would be no justices in politic.

- Actually I think men are suffering from sex discrimination. If you see a woman and aman being drowned, who will you save first? Lady first right? Poor men!

- Also, when women wear manly clothes, we say it's style and else we say men are gay.When women play soccer, kungfu, shouting, badminton, swimming, volleyball, so on,

then we say she is dynamic girl. Else if men play some activities of girl like roller ball,

they will be called gay.

- When men treat fair with women, they will say men isn't romantic, not delicated,...

2. The anonymous CONFESSION pages are a part of a national trend that isbeginning to concern professors and school administrators. Many people think that

these pages should be taken down. Do you agree or disagree with their opinion?

- That people do things anonymously like telling " i hate/love you" through a computerconnected to Internet - in such an illusive world will greatly affect their personality, for

example, degradation of personal confidence and social communication.

- This trend can prevent people from facing their true feeling and dealing with their ownsituations. They still dont have enough strength to face their past, keep running around

hoping that they can shelter from it. They should face it as a man and put an end to the

endless grieve rather than make a coward confession

- If people accustom themselves to alleviate their pressure only by confessions, we dontneed to go out for chatting share our private lives or sadness to others which causes

detrimental impacts on our real network and society- People making confessions may say whatever they want recklessly, sometimes even

callously, insulting people or revealing someones darkest memory they have concealed

deep down inside.

- Personal confessions (a new variation of confession) can result to the frustration if onesuffers from the insufficiency of them or offensive ones . Therefore, many people,

especially, young teenager will seriously suffer from autism

- When people you mention read your confessions, they might feel bad, hopeless. theymight be obsessed by the feeling being hated. They might try to modify themselves

following by those objective words and lose their own value of life

- The evasion of confession inflicts many annoyance, even jealousy on readers because ofthe repeated contents related to love

- When this trend become much more popular, it can be out of control. It will spread itswings to other fields outside of school. It can be precondition for other terrible

confessions such as thief, reactionaries, terrorism or even bad feeling toward our beloved

family.

- People tend to spend their time reading, contemplating and thinking about confessingtheir stories, leading to reduction in both their concentration and productivity at working

-Some people might overthink about whether those public confessions are for them or not,leading to their delusion

- Maybe stress, pressure can be released when we write down to confess them, but theydont disappear, they are transferredto the person you're confessing

3. Do violent games cause behavioral problems?For

- Children who indulge in violent games in excess and not communicate to societyfrequently, may become anti-social and isolated. They are reserved and just retreat into

should do and easy to act as characters in games. They may think that if they can do like

those virtual people, others will consider them as a hero, leading to violent behaviours at

school or even committing crimes, becoming serial killers- In the case of games containing violent content, our subsconcious are fed with hazardous

experiences of killing, torturing... and somehow gets familliar to it without even know

about it. Accumulatively, The looming desire to realize them seems to devour our mind

as we get more and more involved in such games

-Peoples behavior is decided on many social affections, such as: Enviroment, life, family,education, school, friend,.... especially, parents upbringing. A boy or girl will observe

things in right way if their parent teach them what's right and wrong.

- Behavioral problems are usually attributed to psychological trauma, diseases, history ofabuse. Violent games, on the other hands, account for rather few cases of above

mentioned problem

- Alcohol does not cause cancer unless you drink it. Same as violent games, they could notinfluence human's behaviors if we have control over what we or our children play. For

example, many children grow up normally although Counter-strike, Rakion, etc. take

most of their leisure time. I am a gamer and Im sure that i have never run like maniac

around the block and try to use BB gun to snipe the hell out of living daylight someone

pass by when trying to call an air support

- Imagined that there were no violent games, the behavioral problems would occur in ourlives. It is usual that people have fought and treated violently to others from past to

present without videogames effect

- At general, every games have been rated, which means that games are suitable for whatkind of ages (Like under 5, 16+, etc..). So if you don't 'meet' the requirement to play these

games, please not play. Or If you'r a child, the fault belongs to your parents, who let you

to play that type of games when you do not have right view about the games

- Realistic scenes in the games ignite our imagination, where we can immerse our selves infantasy world with castles, behemoths, bloody battles

- Violent games teach us moral lessons that the good always triumphs the bad, fuel ourbelief when in adversity, protecting our countries' autonomy and human, attacking

vicious people rather than assault, burglary, murder

4. Social networking sites (i.e. Facebook, Twitter) cause more harm than good. Do youagree or disagree with this statement?

Time consuming:

- People can hardly balance online world and real world. SNSs excessive usingunconsciously makes a kind of addiction on which everyone spends lavishly a

considerable amount of time rather than concentrating on their study or work, which mayharm their career

- Spending a large amount of time on social network leads to the decrease of humanproductivity of working because people dont pay attention to their tasks seriously.

Mostly Facebooks addicted members may take care of how many people hit the like

button on their hot pictures while they have several tasks that have to be accomplished

outside this cyberspace. As a consequence, those users may be disappointed themselve

with the result given by their lack of concern

Social bonds:

- Sticking to the tools which help them stay connected to online world such as computer,laptop, cell phones, people will put a little attention on what are going on around them.

(They do not care about their family, they do not mind if the furniture are broken, they do

not know how to communicate with each other in the real life. They merely became

indifferent with social activities which truly need their effort.)

- People who is addicted to SNS seem to show less social contact and linguist abilitybecause they rarely hang out with friend, take care of their parents, go camping with their

family and friends being confined within their own home and cannot leave their

computers for long... They become intelligent extension part of a computer growing root

in their chair sharing their thoughts through a virtual world.

- It puts more pressure on the networker through his/her having to maintain and balance anever larger circle of people. Spreading oneself thinly gives one less time for others who

were perhaps closer to one in the past

- Another issue is the reaction of friends and associates.. Additionally, it enlarges theindividual's world, timeline of one will display with the others who maybe use them to

menace or make bad comments in them

- The contents in Internet, let alone social networking sites, sometimes are unwholesomeand not real, nave children could be tricked and abused to carry out illegal activities for

which can be used illegally by the internet-criminal. People just click on the link

innocently and they are not aware of what dangers they could face. They may lost their

- At the very beginning, Social networking site (SNS for short) can not be good or harmitself. Good or bad depend on purpose and level of using of people who attend on these

- For people who was addicted to SNS, cant control their time on SNS, are more likely tobe on SNS than real life, gradually becoming "invisible" on real life, it is their fault. We

people with all our advance conscious as a gift have to act in advance to prohibit badthings. Let's imagine if our Government had never proscribed heroin, how society would

have turned into.

- Social Networks basically spread out information to everybody faster than any othermedia, in the era of rapid development of technology and information as swift as light.

Thanks to SNS, users learn about breaking news, bussiness companies make

advertisements, Employees are informed about works rapidly.

-These sites will make children more concern to everyone else. If a child see starvingpeople on facebook, they will immediately share this information for other society

members on social network. This action will repeat every minute, every hour and by a

bigger number of people. As a result, children who share that information will develop in

their personality

- To some extent, it's bad because we still not get familiar to it enough. Let's imagine peoplewere born and grew up under the influence of virtual life, they would be taught how to use an

anti-virus software to defend themselves from the online threats, they would be taught not to

click on any random link unless they want to lose all their confidential information

- Facebook and Twiter encourages "advertisement" and "business" greatly. they offer excellentopportunities for advertising, that has created a fierce competition for companies who want to

put their advertising on social network.

- We can see photos, pictures of someone...such as your idol and their activities, schedule,play games

- SNS helps to promote our life style, becoming more active, negative, outgoing.

- listening too much music deteriorates our ability to focus, causes distraction- music might disturb people surrounding you- Some music celebrities, considered role models of teenagers, have sparked public

- Listening to a sad song can weaken the spirit of soldiers, especially when they arepreparing for a battle

- Music can make some people too addicted to it. They waste too much time listening to itand tune out doing others things

- The reality shown that there are many people who have bachelor degree are still unemployed

while other can achieve their dream, even the latter earn much more money without going to

university. The most important thing is that people should recognize their ability to make right

decision. For example, m Vinh Hng, the King of V-pop, is a son in the poor family, so he

couldn't continue to pursue her studying. He had to do a lot of job before becoming a singer. And

now he is one of the richest singer in Viet Nam. Meanwhile, there are many students graduated

in university that are unemployment. Therefore, going to university isnt the sole way to success.

- For those who are still in search of a path to implement their goal, university is probably a

proper place to maximize their probability to win in the race to success. Yet for the rest, is

university a waste of time, money and effort? Why dont they just go for their dreams?

- Success depends on many things: knowledge, skills (soft and communication), relationship,

attitude, hard working, lucky and so on which hardly can universities offer completely.

- Unlike the knowledge you learn in university, you can experience a lot of diffrent jobs ,

activities and draw much experience for yourself . That's why, you will become more mature,

more confident. Moreover, you also can explore your strengths and weaknesses and passions

while experiencing

- Look back at our former generation! I can sure that hardly did they go to university. So did theyfail in their career? In fact, they are successful doctors, engineers, teacher... They brought up a

better generation... Can we say they failed in life?

- Why do we all have to become anybody else to be called success, how do you define failure?

- University is a key to access to the treasure of human kind: "knowledge", though it's not the

only way. University is also a place where the social born is form, where we can meet up with

many interesting people, share our dreams, self challenge, compete ... But university only offer

us with abundant chances, take them or miss them, it all depends on us. People like Bill Gates,Steve Jobs dropped out from university just because life offered them a better chance, otherwise,

i think they must have stayed.

- Benefits of university:

+ Provide necessary knowledge gathered from excellent researchers who have much

experiences which is a basement for us to deal with other issues now and then.

+ Create challenges to enhance peoples capacity, especially those who live far away

from home. For example, they have to take care of yourself, think dependently make their

own decision about their finance, their health thus they will become more independent

and confident

+ Recognition of our inner talent and passion

+ Practice and improve skills like communication, team working, leadership and

presentation which are very important at work

+ Bachelors from famous universities are likely to be promoted in higher positions in a

company, but also gain respect from others.

+ Opportunities to meet interesting people, make friends with like-minded people.

- University is the easiest way to achieve success is to go to university. Most of the students learn

a lot from universities but they don't know. 90% of people who don't go to university FAIL intheir lives, while 40% (may be less) of the opposites succeed

- Academic background guarantees good practice in reality. Thus, students can feel more

confident before joining the competitive labor market. They are more likely to compete other

applicants if they are trained necessary skills, including academic and social skills at university

in such fierce job competition.

- In many jobs, what u learn at university is compulsory with your future work. For example, If u

want to be a doctor, without training education of university, can u get this job? And if u can

learn from other people, can the hospital accept candidates who dont have probably training? Ifthey accepted u for this job, can u do it with only experience, can u ensure the patient's life.

- In such a country like VN, absolutely, you should have a degree in specific fields to easily get a

desirable job

- People like Bill Gate, Steve Jobs are rare. Not everyone has enough conditions, intelligence,

skillfulness and even persistence to achieve success without being trained in university.

- After finishing high schools, students are too young to start their career without experience and

enthusiasm.

- Bill Gates expressed that people who are not from universities are rarely undertake vital roles in

Microsoft such as managers and supervisors. It raises another question: How many firm accept

their employees are high-school students and primary ones?

7. Parents shouldn't choose career for their children. Do you agree or disagree with this

statement?

For:

- Nobody can decide anything for others, even our parents who cannot live with us forever.

- Career is a contributor of our life-long happiness and satisfaction.

- An 18-year-old student has enough awareness to choose the career he love and which suits best

to themselves.

- Once children choose their jobs themselves, whether it is good or bad, they must have

responsibility for their choice.

+ They will never find confidence, self-making, creativity, independent thinking and wishing...

in themselves

+ It also increases the dependence of children to their parents, leading to their incapability ofmaking decision..., Therefore, children will hardly grow-up in comparison with the others.

Ex: My younger brother who has career chosen by my parents and now he even does not know

what he likes, what he wishes....and the other things relate to his career...

+ If the career is chosen by parents and unfortunately that is not dream job of children, how can

they try their best to achieve it. Even when he already has this job, he could never do it with any

passion and hardly can gain anything great in their lives.

- Children should be free to choose their careers rather than follow the ones selected by their

parents because:

+ If a person takes a job for their passion, he/she can expose all their capability and devotehis/her life for it. Accordingly, they are more likely to gain great achievements in their careers.

+ When having to give a decision related to career, the children are grown enough to be aware

of their characteristics and their need, so they are able to know what is the best choice for their

life.

+ The freedom to choose one's career is also among human rights

- Parents should advise their children to choose career because:

+ Parents have a wealth of knowledge and life experience and deeply understand children need.

+ Everyone in this planet has talents and equal opportunities but they need an enlightenment toguide them to understand themselves and choose their own paths to develop their careers.

Against

- Parents and adults have undergone many challenges and difficulties in life. Also, they are old

hand at dealing with many intricate things. The advice or their experience is immensely useful

for young people, one of the tips is to orient for children in work.

- In several particular circumstances, especially in Vietnam, children are prone to have little

awareness of choosing their suitable career. It is a fact that even senior students dont know

exactly what they want to do with their lives and thus, parental guidance is drastically important.- Living with their children for a long time, parents are the one who know best about children's

strengths, weaknesses. Additionally, they also have further vision thanks to precious experiences

that kids do not have.

- However, when a child extremely desires something, parents' advice should not be a substitute

to his or her own decision. Being a supportive partner might be a better way to lead children to

the right path to success.

- It depends on what you think is happiness. For those people who do not appreciate money,

definition of happiness of them may be more intangible than to others

- For those criminals, robbers, their greedy prompts them done it rather than money. There are
