Dear Professor & BJJ Athletes, The Sport Jiu-Jitsu International Federation is the international governing body of the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Today we have established federations in all continents working together to take our sport to the Olympic Games. The SJJIF would like to cordially invite you to the 2018 SJJIF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship. These events will be our largest to date, with participants from all over the world. The SJJIF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship will be hosted on October 26th, 27th & 28th at the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, California, USA. The championship consists of Gi and NoGi events, open to kids and adults of all ages; all belt levels, and all nations. In additional to the traditional Jiu-Jitsu competition, the SJJIF is proud to announce that on October 26th, 2018 the SJJIF will host its second Adapted Jiu-Jitsu World competition. Adapted Jiu-Jitsu was developed for the better experience and inclusion of all Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners with a form of disability and/or impairment and is divided in 3 categories to guarantee competitors with fair competition. The Adapted Jiu-Jitsu categories are as follows: The World Deaf Jiu-Jitsu Championship for deaf or hard of hearing Jiu-Jitsu Athletes. The World ParaJiu-Jitsu Championship for Jiu-Jitsu Athletes with physical disabilities and/or impairments. The World Special Jiu-Jitsu Championship for Jiu-Jitsu Athletes with intellectual/cognitive disabilities and/or impairments. The SJJIF also proudly announces that it will be rewarding the 2018 Black Belt male and female champions with up to $67,000 USD in Cash Prizes. The SJJIF acknowledges that the hard work and dedication of each individual and team should be recognized and for this event we will uniquely feature: Free registration for Black Belts that are registered members with the SJJIF. Up to $67,000 USD in cash prizes for qualifying Black Belt champions (full details at www.SJJIF.org). SJJIF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship Trophy for the Top three Gi & NoGi Kid and Adult Teams.
